Which 2 western 2x2 workers? Yes, I would like to KNOW which two Western workers Chuck were talking about also. Let us wait and see for his reply. Which kinds of tradition did William Irvine or the early days workers invented? That is so bad. Nathan it would take some research to see what Irvine and co dreamt up is absent original intent. Do you know anything about the hospitality customs that underlie these verses?.

They 12 and 70 apostles found out Jesus teachings were true! Go by Faith and SELL ALL, carry light because this is going to be Itinerant way of life for TRUE preachers of the gospel lifestyle. Which verses say to sell all? It would seem to me that many can't sell all to follow the Christ character, they still need their religion........

Who says they have to go from house to house? Luke 10:5 Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house!’ 6 And if a person of peace is there, your peace will rest on that person, but if not, it will return to you. 7 Remain in the same house, eating and drinking whatever they provide, for the laborer deserves to be paid. Do not move about from house to house. Before I went in the work 1986-93 I read a book on customs and practices of the Jewish cultures in Jesus days, which help to me to understand Matthew 10 and Luke 10 situation. 2000 years ago, it was a custom for villagers to welcome strangers to stay with them over nights, feed them and so on! Hospitality. Jesus sent the 12 and 70 apostles on their 1st gospel mission without Jesus, proclaiming the Messiah has come as God had promised he would. Jesus told them NOT to go and stay from house to house! Just stay put in one home and sharing the gospel message every day this we they don’t waste time chatting this and that in every home. Their mission was to be a few weeks, Jesus wanted to show the apostles that all of their needs will be provided by strangers, and their own followers. In Matthew 6:25-34 Jesus told the apostles to seek first the kingdom of God then all these things shall be given unto THEM such as foods to eat, clothes to wear, money for their journey, homes to stay for the nights and so on. They 12 and 70 apostles found out Jesus teachings were true! Go by Faith and SELL ALL, carry light because this is going to be Itinerant way of life for TRUE preachers of the gospel lifestyle. Be on the move at a fast speed for the gospel to reach to ALL nations so most countries will have the opportunity in hearing and believing the gospel messsge of their Salvation Jesus SAVES us. Then He can Returns to Rule and Reign on the earth 1000 years. Read Matthew 24:14; Jude 14-15. God and Christ are recruiting/you must be born again! people from this planet, which are made up of people from every nations in every generation to become His children so, they can help them to invite beings which they created in the Universe, who had never heard of Yahweh God their creators! To become apart of this great, awesome Family of God. ~~~ We read in the gospel of Acts the apostles/Paul and history-workers stayed in the homes of their converts, whenever they go on their missions to different places and countries! NOT going from house to house was just for the 12 and 70 apostles 1st mission only! Jesus 2x2 apostolic Itinerant ministry is the preachers/apostles without having homes of their own, and the Church gathering/worship to be held in the homes of believers. How can’t the workers can’t go from house to house to stay? one home can’t take in workers for a long period of time it would be putting too much stress and burden on that family! So, God wants all the believers to take turn to care and provide and meet the workers needs. If my memory serves me correctly, the 70 were disciples not apostles. There is record of the 70 going out on one mission and returning. Nor does it say they sold their goods. Many people go out on a mission for a short period of time and return just like these disciples did. They are not apostles nor sold their things. That is how you twist things Nathan to fit on with your own agenda.

Which verses are you talking about? luke 10 I already explained in one of my posts, didn’t you read it? Pick any verses in Matthew 10 or Luke 10, we can go over it verses by verses.

The Vaudios died out and the Waldensians merged with the Presbyterians. The gospel continues in many churches of which the 2x2 is a dying breed.

I can read plenty of stuff on the internet. The workers church slowed down a long time ago. It's built on shifting sand. The workers are not the Jesus 2x2 apostolic Itinerant ministry, no matter how many times you say it to try and convince yourself that it is. It is a church started by William Irvine around 1897. They've sat in peoples home and done nothing except visit their own, ever since I've known them for 70 years. Nothing like we read in the NT.

The only reason they got so many people in the early days was because of the lie they told that they have no earthly founder and go back to the shores of Galilee. This won't work anymore with the internet. The sexual abuse is not the only reason people are not interestedin the workers. Lack of interest started years before the sexual abuse was acknowledged. Honest people are leaving and want no part of it. Only families are in it.

So the 2x2 model of going from house to house is taken from Acts rather than Matthew 10? Yes, it was God’s intention from the start! To the end of Jesus returns. Jesus stayed in the homes of his followers. Jesus stayed some times in the home of his followers. He did not spend his life sitting in their homes and only visiting his followers He was out preaching, places where he had no followers. I'm sure he didn't send word out asking people can he stay in their home, eat their food, drive their car ahead of traveling to a new town like the workers do. Jesus had no where to lay his head. He was poor and homeless. The workers aren't. They book a place ahead and make sure they have a cozy bed to go to and have money and a bank account. No comparison to Jesus.

Their mission was to be a few weeks, Jesus wanted to show the apostles that all of their needs will be provided by strangers, and their own followers. ... So the 2x2 model of going from house to house is taken from Acts rather than Matthew 10? I understood from an earlier post of Nate's that he now believes that the 2x2 model of going from house to house is actually taken from the Faith Mission (where he claimed that Wm Irvine "got his ideas from"): You need to study the Faith Mission group organization closer! John Long didn’t want to become FM preacher in 1898, but he joined as a Faith Mission prayer union as a member from 1898-1914. They have church meetings/worship where they come together to pray Sunday for their group believers. They have Bible studies during the week also. The FM workers stay in the homes of their followers. You don’t think that is an organization and a church denomination? Where do you think, William Irvine and his 2x2 workers and friends get their ideas of 2x2 apostolic New Testament and Sunday morning and week day Bible studies from? The Faith Mission group/Church! Now I'm confused

NOT so, the 2x2 is NOT a dying breed at all. It will continue to the time of Christ returns. Read 24:-30-35. Once the 2x2s got the CSA workers abused eliminated from the ministry and fellowship Jesus 2x2 apostolic Itinerant ministry will prosper again. God is cleaning the ministry and the church right now. The early workers were NOT LYING at ALL. They got that revelation from God and Christ. That was how I received the same revelation without Jesus 2x2 apostolic Itinerant ministry New T. And God’s people history to back it up! I just read Jesus teachings and I believed in Faith! Jesus said to the apostles Upon this ROCK! I will build MY Church and the gates of HELL Shall NOT prevail against it.. And this gospel shall be preached to all nations then shall come the end of Gentiles era.

This won't work anymore with the internet. There is a lot of exposure on the 2x2 on the internet now. I just check the one post from X (formally Twitter), and that one post has been viewed by more than 257,000 so far. x.com/bbcworld/status/1751401747317412154?s=46&t=T0CcSe_FUdRZ3Oz1aD4hCA

The Faith Mission had Jesus 2x2 apostolic Itinerant ministry; going from house to house but had Sunday morning meetings but without Christ’s Passover/Eucharists/emblems. The 2x2 copied the Faith Mission Jesus 2x2 apostolic Itinerant ministry and Sunday morning but the 2x2s add the emblems and baptism for their converts. Thanks, now it's crystal clear (so from 1897, thanks to Mr Irvine, things got back on track!)

Where did you get it from that the Faith Mission had Sunday morning meetings. They were based on the premise which the workers copied, which was that everyone goes preaching. They were part of mainstream Churches. I would guess they would have prayer meetings, many Christians have prayer meetings. Does not make them a church. The Faith Missions purpose was not to be a church but to work with the churches that were there. Where does it say the Faith Mission workers stayed in converts homes? They would have gone house to house inviting people to hear them, that's a lot different from staying in their homes.

They got a revelation a couple of thousand years later just like many others who start a church. The gates of hell have prevailed against it. It began dying out years ago. It just began speeding up lately. They rarely go to the Gentiles or to other nations. Sure signs it's not the true church.

We know psychedelics were a big part of past religious experiences, my question is what was Irvine smoking or consuming?.

They would have gone house to house inviting people to hear them, that's a lot different from staying in their homes. Yes I was thinking that the Faith Mission will have to rewrite their official early history, based on Nathan's new revelations about them having Sunday morning meeting! However, calmer analysis indicates this is not so. Rather, they (like many such revival activities around the late 1800s and early 1900s) grew from the wider revivals such as the Second Great Awakening, Holiness Movement and Welsh Revival. Keswick Conventions had similar roots (begun in 1875). The purpose of the Faith Mission and Keswick Conventions was (and remains to this day) to refresh and restore local churches (not to replace with their own form or brand of doing church). That was Irvine's 'Big Idea' and big difference with the FM, the fruits of which we are seeing today, including right here on TMB.
