As the friends age and the birth rate falls, I see fewer bible studies in the future. Some places are having them in the afternoons and mornings. Some parts of the Deep South are 50 to as much as 100 miles from a study.

they haven't stopped here... We still have Bible studies here in Portland also. If the Wed. Bible are getting too small then they combine the two into one Bible study.

Get off of TMB . Can you please share the proof for this claim that implies the 2x2 church membership is decreasing "As the friends age and the birth rate falls"? Which geographical region are you referring to?

In some areas the population is exploding. At one convention recently, out of 1000 people, they had everyone under 30 years old stand up and it was a good third of the congregation. Lots of young people and young families. Most of the older ones that are not so mobile are able to listen at home now also.

It is a misnomer to call the Wednesday night meeting a "Bible Study". Nothing like one, more of a waffle session. Unless you have had the opportunity to attend a proper Bible study, you will never know how helpful they are in learning the Bible. I think it was more relevant when the 2x2's referred to the Wednesday night meeting as a subject meeting.

To sing and give praises and to honor God the Father, to remember Jesus Our Lord God life, death, sacrifice/the Emblems for our sins on Calvary's and to thank the Holy Spirit as our Teacher, Comforter and Protector until Jesus returns.
Wed. night Bible studies or subjects meetings we do NOT partake the emblems we come together to studies God's words. If you have any questions about the Bible ask the workers come to your house and have studies with them.

Jesus used the boats come go across the lakes, and donkey to ride into Jerusalem. Paul and his co-workers traveled by boat/ships to go from one country to the next spreading the gospel message of Jesus Christ to many Gentiles nations. The same today, use today modern technologies for the furtherance of the gospel quicker and faster to reach to all nations, that is one of the major requirement sbefore Jesus returns. Jesus said in Matthew 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."
Therefore, we should use today technology wisely! for the furtherance of the gospel, such as the planes, cars, computers, laptops, iPhone and internet/TMB to keep in touch with others around the world.

I'm sure they don't worship the trinity Nathan, they are probably like us. We believe in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, but we don't believe they are triune. As Jesus said, the true worshippers worship the father in spirit and in truth.

** Yes, and Radio. I believe I heard Jack Carroll wanted to do Radio one time but he had too many workers didn't like that, they like the old fashion way. I had read the workers did interview for newspapers article about the 2x2s and it gave them a lot exposure in the local area. The internet is another good method to spread the gospel message.

I heard a minister say that one of the signs the tribulation is near is when the gospel has been preached over all the earth. He said it has now because of the internet and TVs.

Then why, do you and your people Cooneyties, given praises, pray in his name and give thanks to Jesus every Sunday gathering? You are putting Jesus and the Holy Spirit on the same level as God the Father! That is BLASPHEMY to put anyone on the same level as God the Father unless they are God themselves.

If they’re all of the God nature, then why doesn’t that make them “God” since God is not a name for a person but his nature? Isn’t that like saying mankind all have human nature but they’re not human?

The early days workers William Irvine, Edward Cooney and most ed and taught the TRINITY/Triune God and the workers believed it because they came out of many Protestant denominations and some from RCC. Back in those days, most denomination churches believed in the Trinity and Jesus/Christ is God. In 1903 dward Cooneyed and the early days workers established Sunday morning meeting/worship gathering so the workers and the friends come together to worship the Godhead/Trinity/Triune God like the New Testament believers. The current workers and friends still keep th Sunday morning worship meetings of the Trinity! But now they say they worship ONLY the Father, give thanks to Jesus the Son of God and It/Holy Spirit.

Isn’t that like saying mankind all have human nature but they’re not human? Being of the same nature does not make Jesus God. It says in the Bible that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself. Jesus didn't sin, so he had the fullness of the nature of God bodily. He even said when he prayed to the father, "you have given me power over all flesh" and it also says that God made Jesus Christ and Lord and exalted him and he anointed him, and that the head of Christ is God. So God the father is higher than Christ and he is his God. As Jesus says himself. Also, it's disturbing that Nathan would say I'm blaspheming and that you have liked his post, just because I don't agree with what you both believe when I can clearly quote from the Bible why I believe as I do. You both should be careful how you judge others.

In Hebrews 1 God the Father called the Son/Christ Jesus LORD and God. The Father is God; Christ is also God and the Holy Spirit as well. ALL three beings are ETERNAL.
