Hello ipsedixit Twins, You are the 335th reply on this subject, but they still have "not" solved the problem. When a young boy queried his dad about putting his hand into the bed and fiddled with his bottom. Shocked dad,It wasn't me!!!.Then years later the offending preacher man becomes a State Elder, and his brother, this decade, still preaching, after being sent out of a State for fiddling with two little girls, happily back in his home State,an Honorable Ol' Brother Worker. Sick to the core. No one is deafer or blinder than those who don't want to hear or see...Magpie

Do you have an opinion about sex offenders stalking the grounds? kicking around an old thread, but does no one find it funny that all the wonderment formerBert mentioned is worth the odd sex offender stalking the grounds? I had to alert a couple of folks last year that the "Oh so helpful and wonderful-spoken" visitor to their convention had in past been known to practice sexual assault with impunity. Sounds like those folks are getting good practice for their time in heaven. During the transfiguration, Jesus appeared with Moses, who had ordered: "Kill all the male children and kill every woman who has had sexual relations with a man, but keep alive for yourselves all the young females who have not had sexual relations." - Numbers 31

Imagine being a Jew in heaven... "You never sent the messiah" "YEAH I DID. YOU KILLED HIM. THE CHRISTIANS ARE ENJOYING ETERNAL BLISS WITH HIM NOW..." "Well, where are all those virgins we saved up like you told us to?" (chuckles) "WELL, YOU NEVER USED THEM. THE MUSLIMS ARE ENJOYING ETERNITY WITH THEM NOW..." "We want a do-over!" "I'M SORRY... ARE YOU LOT HINDUS?" "So... What about us?" "HAVE YOU TRIED THIS MANNA? IT'S KOSHER😂😂" Once again it seems, the joke is on the Jews!

WAR (we are right) is just the by product of all these religions fighting over whose right. In the middle east anyway these religions are partially to blame for all the unrest. I suppose it's possible they would fight even without all this WAR mentalities regarding their various versions of god, but at the moment it's a big part of it all. The Jews think they have a spiritual right to the land. They believe they are the only chosen people. And of course Christians and Muslims both think they are the newer chosen people because God gave up on the Jews and switched his alliance to first Christianity and then later Islam. It's makes for a crazy mix and the outcome is a lot of bloodshed unfortunately.

It started as a Family feud,a long time ago. Both the Arab and Jewish people are decendant's of Abraham. They have and still fight amongst themselves after thousands of years. But aren't we privileged that there was a "New Covenant"given to us? Magpie

Kind of the opposite response you'd expect from a group of people who have the most powerful being in the universe to avenge them, but I suppose that's an easy riddle for a critical thinker to solve! 😉

The Christians are waiting for later. The Christians and Muslims are evangelical, the Jews chosen. The Muslims have religious protocol for war, the Jews a heritage of divine command allowing war as well. The Christians accomplish it without direct biblical command, except for a hazy notion of Armageddon in the back of their minds. Crazy mix, indeed!

That is why so many react so hostile when someone says something negative or asks a good question that might make their faith falter. I think it scares theists half to death to have anyone negate what they believe because of a fragile faith. I can usually tell which ones have the most fragile faith, because they react the most negatively. Anyone totally secure in what they believe is more open to discussion of other ideas. My sister can't even listen to the subject of evolution. I never realized she didn't believe in evolution until one day I said something about how wonderful something had evolved and she quickly slapped her hands over her ears. In some ways I think it's important for us to not challenge these kinds of people. They obviously need their beliefs to feel secure and comfortable and I'm not sure it's a good thing to try and undermine that just to get them to look at the evidence. So I don't go there with her ever. But I can talk to my brother about it. He's just fine with it even though he doesn't believe it. We have some really great conversations and still talk to each other after lol...

All Christians need is for Armageddon to happen between the Jews and the Muslims and viola! The rapture! There is a group of orthodox Christian Jews that once tried to bomb the Dome of the Rock. There reasoning was that if they did that they could start a war to end all wars and end the world. They were called the Kookists. Good name for them in my opinion

What people call "faith" nowadays is all too often the exact opposite.

Good name for them in my opinion What will you atheists, say and do when Jesus appeared in the Sky to claim His rightful place as King of kings and LORD of Lords in the Universe? Will you bow your head and confess Jesus is the Lord/God and king of the Universe. Or will you say hell, no I will NOT bow to you? Jude 14-15 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. John the apostle wrote in Rev. 1: 7-8 7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

What people call "faith" nowadays is all too often the exact opposite. I wish people could become more comfortable with just dying and it being over. They are held in positions of faith that they struggle with because they are vulnerable. They want to live forever in a place that is blissful. But in order to do that they are required to believe a lot of stuff that doesn't make sense anymore. That's hard. But if they just let go of their need to live forever in a good place, it would open them up to all kinds of peace. But then there are those who also believe that God somehow will help them in this life too. They feel too vulnerable to live without the possibility that there is a loving helpful God out there making sure they are okay. I can understand that. It's can be a hard world to live in. But if they were honest with themselves, they would understand that all the things they credit god with are actually things that people have done for them. When someone saves you from a fire and you thank God, maybe it would be more realistic to thank the fireman that risked their life to pull you out. Just saying.

What will Christians say when it doesn't happen? The only thing you may see in the sky that isn't natural is a nuke headed for a town near you. Especially since the arms race is about to start again! But Christians don't have to worry about that of course. They will be raptured just before the bombs fly right!

"When someone saves you from a fire and you thank God, maybe it would be more realistic to thank the fireman that risked their life to pull you out."
That drives me right up a wall. Those who did not avoid the atrocity, were they not good enough? Were they not kneeling and praying at the time? Did the god not direct help to them for some reason? Why were they sent to death or terrible misfortune? Shouldn't all of god's people be healthy, wealthy, and wise?
Any answer that justifies cruelty, harm, or misfortune is the wrong answer if a god is all-loving, all-watchful, and always in control. I've heard all of the justifications and they're all a crock of crap.
Humans were not put on the face of the earth. Humans became. That omniscient being did not put things into motion and step away. People who believe that have not absorbed their own book. Yeah, I am sure they've read it a thousand times, but their answers are all the same - typical of brainwashed fools.

This thing needs a laughter button. Hahaha.
What will they say when it doesn't happen? How many times has it been certainly predicted over the last five years? Ten years? Three decades? Since 1800 whatever? Since 500 whatever? Since ever? Since the predictions in the slavery lover, King James' writings? Since BC era? How many times does a person need failed predictions before they open their flipping eyes?

No one knows. Yeah, that's convenient. And how many times have people said it's coming? "The time is drawing nigh!" How many times? Be honest. You're deflecting.

God will send meteorite and asteroite from space it tells us in Rev.16 the wrath of God pour out on unbelievers. Each meteorite is weight 100 pounds or more= 10000 times Nuclear bombs.

Once the 100 pounds meteorite fallen from heaven then it will be too late to Repent of our sins. In the Old Test. God told Noah about the world wide flood, he preached 120 yrs by telling people of the terrible flood to come. It was God's mercy He warned the earth people over 100 yrs but they didn't believe Noah's warning. The Flood was coming so God closed the door of the Ark and it was too late for anyone, who tried to get inside the Ark.

Wow--surely anyone who knows a registered offender is present where children are can call the police? Is there an exception for events on privately owned property? This is something that would be good for all of us to know. Of course, this is the law. The only exception I know of would be a property that is open to the public for business purposes, such as a store of some kind., and that would only apply in some places/states. But that's not the case with a convention grounds -- it's private property and the convention attendees are considered invited guests. Of course, it's never been contested in a court of law whether the workers or the property owner is the person inviting the guests. Public playgrounds on private property (usually schools or churches), and such things as a circus on private property, are properly covered because child predators are forbidden to be in such places no matter who owns them -- simply because they are places where children congregate. What show DOESN'T have sex in it these days?!!!
