I understand that the convention owner is the only person who can legally ask a pervert to stay off of the grounds. I understand that some perverted ex-workers have visited some northeastern US conventions AFTER they have been charged with CSA. I wasn't there so I only know what I have heard. I guess if someone is registered, the law might intervene independently of the grounds owner.

I wrote about this months ago. Does no one read what I write. Why do I bother? How many on this board really do anything for the abused other then run their mouths on this board? ?

It's OK Marie, we all repeat ourselves all the time Besides, there may be new readers here, and they may have missed what you wrote before. So, write it again, or copy and paste it here!

Yes, marie, do not let this discourage you. If it retains meaning for you, repeat it over and over again. And again. And again. It amazes me that people here will respond to points, even seemingly acknowledge them, and quite soon (if not immediately) continue posting if that point had never been made. I know that I am as guilty as anyone, especially as I am a sporadic reader/participant here.

Marie, if at first you do not succeed in getting your message across, try, try again and again.. Don't give up, keep it up, sooner or later the message will get through and hopefully action will be taken; it is said that perseverence breaks down resistance.

Is there an exception for events on privately owned property? This is something that would be good for all of us to know. Marie, please share. I want to hear what you have to say.

I am not sure how it works in the USA , but I would assume that the owner can take out a restraining order on any undesirable person trespassing on his property.

Being charged is different than being convicted. Property owners can, in most cases, control who is allowed on their property. Anyone can call the police anytime they wish. Generally if a sex offender is registered the court has also established a set of conditions. If registered with National Sex Offender Registry (NSOR) they have to inform their parole officer of their current address. They often will have to register if they are leaving the jurisdiction where they are confined. If they are breaking the terms of their release the authorities should be informed. To deal with offenders people need to be acquainted with the laws and with the conditions that the court imposed. Generally these are public records.

If you have a "problem" with a "pervert" on the convention ground then just stay home and turn on the ol' TV - some good shows just coming out, like: Game of Thrones - incest, sex scenes, boob shots, prostitutes etc.. True Blood - sex scenes, hot chicks, vampires etc.. Masters of Sex - buts, boobs, sex scenes, crotch scenes etc.. Girls - sex scenes, penises, buts, boobs etc..
then there's the repeats, like...
Californication - drinking, womanizing, drug abuse etc.. The L Word - lesbians, mostly - boobs, butts etc.. Shameless - horny adults, unsupervised teenagers....
Of course there's the old tired Sex In The City, or even the tame ones like Bold and the Beautiful where Rick has "slept" with just about every woman on the show.
It's all just screwing or killing.
Entertainment today is aimed directly at our naughty bits, and as many have pointed out - we wouldn't want it any other way. So go tell those pervert workers you have better things to entertain you now. If they don't like it just say it's all their fault you have to watch this stuff and live in this culture.

Looks like you have let the cat out of the bag, Bert. How do you know all this? Sound like you are speaking from first hand detailed knowledge. Do you watch a lot of TV? If so, you are a very naughty boy.

Thinking about the seven Spirits in Acts 5. We know groups of people develop group personalities, like a group spirit. Small "s" spirit would be of man. So, what is the spirit of this thread? What is the spirit of TMB itself? Is it a Spirit or a spirit?
Might make a good thread.

What kind of things do you feed your mind on Bert? Seems looking from down here it is not good. People have had meeting taken out of their homes for having a TV.
What I am noticing is that you are not speaking out against children being sexually abused in your fellowship but you seem more concerned with what's on TV. Sex crimes against children are abhorant.

As an atheist I cut the cable TV cord. Not to avoid the sex but I didn't find the cost worth it. I can stream on demand for free just about anything anytime. Apple TV & Roku work for me. Now that I don't watch TV, I'm getting closer to professing again.

Wow Bert, how much TV do you watch ?
You seem to know the names of all the shows with sex in them..... Also your reply just shows why there are still perverts allowed to go to Convention, instead of addressing the issue you try to justify it with something that has nothing to do with the issue ! By the way what is your view on Mr Harvey being re-baptised .... seems you are very quiet on that issue !!

The only exception I know of would be a property that is open to the public for business purposes, such as a store of some kind., and that would only apply in some places/states. But that's not the case with a convention grounds -- it's private property and the convention attendees are considered invited guests. Of course, it's never been contested in a court of law whether the workers or the property owner is the person inviting the guests. Public playgrounds on private property (usually schools or churches), and such things as a circus on private property, are properly covered because child predators are forbidden to be in such places no matter who owns them -- simply because they are places where children congregate.

I call the police, tell them which worker was doing what, tell them where to find every witness of value that I know of, and say "if you need me, call me." And tell no one. Prison for 35 years to life.....! Sorry my friend, but you need to be somewhere safe for both yourself and the children.

Bert, your views echo some in the fellowship. Make fun of victims and defend your belief system. Until this mindset changes, the fellowship will struggle. CSA is a real problem and not just an excuse to "lose out".

It's a group spirit evident in those who are so afraid of facing reality that they turn a blind eye to evil in their midst, while condemning folks outside of their group.

CSA is a real problem and not just an excuse to "lose out". This is an age old problem: the condoning of sexual immorality in the church using the excuse "we are not to judge our brother".

Having said that, adultery and divorce were once criminal offenses (death penalty in some cases) but are now condoned - even on the TMB. And most forms of entertainment I mentioned above attracted jail sentences or the death penalty, yet today are a hearty part of your "belief system." Yet somehow, through CSA style threads, it is WE who are portrayed as sexual deviants, all of us. I might be offended, but I am not surprised.
