The Mosaic law was always about the thoughts rather than the physical. The Pharisees were making a big mistake being pedantic about the physical. Jesus fulfilled the law by living the spirit of the law rather than the letter of the law. Israel was called to take up the name [character] of God and live it as an exemplary nation. We fulfill the law when we have the love of God, the character of God, in our hearts. Romans 13:8 Owe no one anything, except to love one another, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9 The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery; you shall not murder; you shall not steal; you shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Galatians 5:13 For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters, only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for self-indulgence, but through love become enslaved to one another. 14 For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, “ You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” I guess that's where we differ in interpretation. I don't see the commandments as 'thought sins', but have always been physical. Some more of what Jesus taught along this line... Matthew 15:17 Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth enters the stomach and goes out into the sewer? 18 But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this is what defiles. 19 For out of the heart come evil intentions, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. 20 These are what defile a person, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile.”

They don't like it that Bob B has assumed responsibility for protecting his own property. They'll find that rented property in Fredericton comes with a lot more ownership restrictions that Bob asked for, but it's their show after all. Have the owners of the rented property been advised that they are renting it to a group where there will be convicted sexual predators and those who hide them. What is the owners legal obligations in those circumstances? My bet is that they've never discussed the background. A one-time reservation for a church convention wouldn't, by itself, raise many flags.

Thank you for your answer. I do see that dressing different might attract someone to ask you questions about what religion you belong to. That makes sense. What I wonder is this. Do you think that people will be attracted to become part of your group if they have to dress that way? Many people that have 'the right spirit' still don't want to dress the way the sister workers dress, although I do know that it has changed somewhat then when I was still in the group. Also, why is it only the woman's job to look different? Why can't the men have some kind of identifying dress code like orthodox jews have for example. Or the Amish, Mennonite etc. Why do the 2x2 men get to dress like every man in the 'world' and not attract attention to themselves like the women are expected to? Surely it shouldn't be just the women? There are many things that could be done in the dress of men that would also make them stand out? The 2x2s are controlled by a group of misogynistic men. Ephesians 5:22-24 and 1 Peter 3:1 (women submit unto your husbands) are like the golden rule for the overseers and older brother workers. The sister workers are in the same boat as the wives. They have to submit to the brothers. They have no say or opinion in the goings on in the church. When has there ever been a sister overseer? Ask them if they would want to be overseers. My guess is that very few would put their hand up!

Coup: a sudden, violent, and unlawful seizure of power from a government. Hostile takeover: when a company or activist shareholder tries to gain control of a target company by sidestepping the company's management and board of directors, and going directly to its shareholders. Revolution: a forcible overthrow of a government or social order, in favor of a new system. Mutiny: an open rebellion against the proper authorities, especially by soldiers or sailors against their officers. Overthrow: remove forcibly from power.
Call it what you want, but this is what needs to happen. The overseers need to go. What happened to the June 8th deadline? The overseers know that no one or anything can remove them unless they are forced out. They were not elected by the congregation, they were not chosen by a group of fellow workers or a board of directors. They were chosen by a select few that connive in secret to cover up and protect the sinners and criminals within their organization and even within their own select group, while preaching that those very acts are contrary to the law of God's written word.

Well for this to happen they need to look themselves in the mirror collectively and understand they are an organized religion like any other and adopt recommended organizational practices which are not dictatorships as is the current organizational structure. They are so scared to see what they really are….a badly run organized religion.
