For a long time we parked out car in the driveway at night cause the garage was full. You wouldn’t believe it but the one and only night I forgot to lock the car, someone went through it and stole a bunch of stuff. Goes to show that people walking the streets at night and checking car doors to see if they are locked it’s probably an regular occurrence. So gotta tell you this story. We now have a garage, but at our old house we did not. So one frosty morning I am about to get into my car and notice a spot on the window behind the driver's window. It looked as if someone cleared a spot on the frosted glass to look inside the car. I looked closer and saw frozen yellow drops on the window and down the side of the door. Someone had tried to open my gas tank cover and found it only opens from the inside. The got mad and pissed on my car. Very unnerving that someone was in my backyard where I parked my car. What the hell! As if trying stealing from you wasn’t enough, they had to really rub it in.. 😮

Just goes too show that theres probably some low life’s out every night of the week..

Our Daughter graduated with a bachelor's degree in Nursing there. At her graduation she showed me the anatomy lab where I hope to end up. Looked interesting.

Lol a little queasy when i go up high but nothing crippling like when i was younger.... one of uncles many years ago when we visited Apsley falls had to crawl out onto the viewing platform on his hands and knees while shaking and going white in the face. I’m not scared of hight’s so I can never understand how frightening it must be lol

When we first came to Nevada, my wife was afraid of the roads through the mountains. So one day I took her to Sacramento and told her she should drive back to Reno. She almost died. But before she got all the way to the summit she had decided that it was just as easy driving in the mountains as it was anywhere else. I guess it kept her from looking over the cliffs.

You sit in seats that are suspended from above, and 8 to 10 people sit locked into the seats facing inwards. Then they shuttle the whole thing out over the side of the building and start spinning you fast as your seats spread out and you're tipped facing downward. What an awesome ride. Walking out on the deck to the seat I almost lost it, but as soon as I got locked in I felt a lot safer.

Once at power plant WAY up high, the elevator door opened and I stepped out onto the grating only to drop to my hands and knees and cry myself silly. Crawled back into the elevator.

Been riding motorcycles since 1969. Brands owned; BMW, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, & Harley Davidson. Now at about 750,000 miles on motorcycles. Most were sport touring & touring bikes. Never had a true sport bike but did have ST-1100 & ST-1300 which were fast enough. Was planning on buying a Goldwing this spring, but then the market tanked. One bike now rides on the back of my RV.

I ride a cruiser today, love the high torque twin. Owned five different bikes through the years. Started on a Honda 90 dual geared trail bike when I was ten.
I like bicycles too. I love the freedom. I did some long tours with my dad many years ago.
Motorcycles induce vigilance in me when I ride. Anticipate everyone else's moves.
Ride safe

I guess that comes from climbing mountains a lot as a kid.

Like a roller coaster car, 8 to 10 people can get into it. It's set on rails that run out past the edge of the tower. Once they're all locked in, the rails begin to tip up and let the car suddenly race out over the edge of the tower and be stopped by a barrier at the end of the rails. People in the high rise apartment tower nearby have complained about the screaming late at night.

HD have great paint jobs and sound good. HD hold their value pretty well. Lot of HD clubs vs. other brands. I've owned more Honda than HD and like them best. HD I've owned Two-stroke HD Bobcat.
Got used when I was 12 years old. Rode this street bike mostly off road. Well built bike. Couldn’t kill it. Foot pegs did not fold and were part of the frame, so when they hit something you went down. I would cross water about 1.5 feet deep. Took out the baffles to make lots of noise. Great gas milage, didn’t go very fast. Interesting shifter arrangement and gas cap. Wish I still had this one. 1100 SportsterThe most dangerous bike I ever owned. Way too much power for the brakes, tires and suspension. Must cary locktite as things like the shifter would always vibrate off. Fast straight line acceleration, made lots of noise. Gas tank was only good for about 100 miles but by then you needed to get off and rest. Dyna Wide GlideBest looking and sounding HD I ever owned. Seat was uncomfortable for more than 150 miles. Went well in a straight line, but no good in the curves. Great paint job. Power was good, brakes very poor. Poor seat and luggage options.
Electra Glide ClassicComfortable bike for long distance rides. Poor brakes, not much power, frame would twist when you rode it hard. Long tire life. Stator needed to replaced often. Easy to work on. Poor cold weather protection. Nice paint, great sound. Electra Glide Ultra LimitedBest HD I have owned. Produces a lot of engine heat. Need to run high test gas. Too hot for stop and go ridding above 85 degrees. Poor brakes, limited power. Good for long distance riding. Good cold weather ridding bike. Frame twists if pushed hard in the curves. Great paint. Easy to work on.

Awesome thanks for that! The dyna wide glide looks great, that’s what I would go for if I was to buy a Harley. The only Harley I’ve ridden was an ultra classic, looks much the same as the last two. I remember it being very heavy. Well a lot heavier than what I was used to lol. You’ve had a nice collection of bikes over the years!

The Ultra Classic & the Honda Goldwing both weigh about 850 pounds, but the HD's feels much lighter. Of all the bikes that I have owned the one that felt the heaviest was the Honda ST-1300, yet it was 250 pounds lighter than the Harley. HD O-60 times were about; Harley = 5 sec, ST-1300 = 3 sec. Remember; There are old bikers, & bold bikers, but no old bold bikers.

What would you prefer a Harley or the Honda? I like all brands of bikes. I have never seen I bike that I wouldn't ride. I just like some better than others. Honda redesign their goldwing in 2018. They added a dual-clutch transmission DCT transmission, & Apple car- play. Its lighter and sportier than the outgoing GL-1800. I have had three goldwings before, but never had a bike with a DCT. So your not going to get the Goldwing? It's a want, not a need so it depends on: - The stock market - Covid-19 duration. I tend to take long trips. I'm thinking being 3,000 miles from home and getting Covid-19 would not be much fun.

Top of my list is Ducati though and one of these days I will own a Panigale V4R. Dream bike... Ah yes makes sense now. I couldn’t imagine it be very pleasant holding up a goldwing for a 3000 mile trip while sick. Attachments:

The technology that goes into today’s super bikes is incredible. Some of these Ducati’s are topping out at 235hp and only weigh around 170kgs.
