You will find out where Doug Parker is AFTER you died, send us a TEXT message to let us know where he is. I read Doug Parker's book when I was in the work in 1990, nothing to tell mom about. I say Cherie K. website TTT gives us a better picture of the early days with William Irvine and the early workers through reading John Long Diary than Doug Parker book by far. Sorry, Doug P. wherever you are out there. youtu.be/L0-tFahPVIU This guy in the Video Bart Ehrman should READ Luke 16 Jesus lived under the Old Testament covenant and he talked about HADES/the realm of the dead and Paradise/heaven Abraham bosom. It seems Bart E. doesn't read or KNOW too much of Jesus teachings.
Bart E. is a bad atheist teacher.... Listen to him then you will end up with those go downward and end up in the lake of fire forever with Satan and the fallen angels.
Rev. 20:10-15 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Jude 6-7 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.Rev. 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Originated from Greek Mythology. The Greek Underworld encompassed the whole Afterlife, containing both heaven and hell, where the righteous could be lavished upon, and the unworthy punished.
What is Mythology?.Mythology (from the Greek mythos for story-of-the-people, and logos for word or speech, so the spoken story of a people) is the study and interpretation of often sacred tales or fables of a culture known as myths or the collection of such stories which deal with various aspects of the human condition: good and evil.
So just stories like Nursery Rhymes, nothing to become too concerned about. Science of course is much more up to date, able to dispel those Myths. All religion is based on stories the ancient way of getting peoples attention. If you want to read good myths take a look at the "Dreamtime" stories told by the Australian Aborigines with pictures some of them made 30,000 years ago, long before the Bible came into existence.

You can see how a new Church starts, somebody tells a few stories, naive people believe them, soon becomes yet again another belief system. You can see it happening on TMB, Nathan is coming up with new myths by the hour. He already has followers, soon he will have a new Church. Good luck to him, I hope it is a huge success and he can give up his day job.
Nothing is wrong with Myths, long as people don't see them as real. It is like if you watch a good film, very interesting and entertaining. But you know it is not true, once you leave the Theatre or switch off the TV, it goes out of your mind. You return to the real life situation and deal with that. And that is what we need to concentrate on, what we know is real.

One of the reasons that we love our myths & stories whatever genre they may be and whether in book form, in a theatre or wherever, - it is a kind of alternate experience that we can live almost as if it were our own life.
By comparison our own lives are so different & mundane.
Isn't there always just a little moment of regret when it comes the end of the story and suddenly you realize you have returned to reality and are sitting in a theatre?
When the story is over, -when you have turned the page and it says "end," -or the curtain comes down and the lights go on and you have to return to a much more complicated and much less exciting life?
I know there is for me.
But the difference between sanity and insanity is knowing it is the END of the "story" and you do have to return to reality even if is not near as exciting!

Well said Dmg, you are a wise old bird. You are right a film can take us into a different place, exciting, unreal. And yes it is a letdown when the curtain comes down.
And because people don't understand Death, they developed ways to dispel that fear. Heaven was the carrot to entice them, Hell was the stick that caused fear and put Bums on seats come Sunday. It was a very clever marketing strategy developed by the Church, you have to give them credit for that.
When the curtain comes down for me I will be satisfied, I have had my monies worth. Will go quietly hoping to spend a few pleasant years at University.

Wally why do you keep making silly links that don't exist. You do it all the time. Clever but also dumb.
The post was my thoughts not Doug's. I am allowed to express my thoughts about any subject, freely. I don't have to stop and think will it comply with 2x2 or Anglican doctrine. You are only able to convey 2x2 teachings.
Doug would not agree with what I posted, he was a very dedicated Anglican Minister and bound by its doctrine. I was fortunate enough to get to know Doug, and where we lived was the first Parish that he was at after he was Ordained. He was well loved by that Congregation.

I think that what you typed was very logical. However, think on this, suppose you were to create a killer headline? I mean, I don't want to tell you how to run your website, however suppose you added a headline that grabbed folk's attention? I mean Answer to Jondough about Rev. Parker. is kinda boring. You could peek at Yahoo's home page and see how they create news headlines to grab viewers to open the links. You might try adding a video or a related pic or two to grab people interested about what you've written. In my opinion, it might bring your blog a little bit more interesting. www.fifs.it/en/2016/01/27/nuovo-aggiornamento-pallone-doro-fifs-ancora-due-giorni-per-votare-i-vincitori/ write essay comment-104585 (Yolanda)

I know this if off topic but I'm looking into starting my own blog and was curious what all is needed to get setup? I'm assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I'm not very web savvy so I'm not 100% positive. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
