If you notice Roselyn T simpleton doesn't answer too many questions either.......yet when @review005 didn't answer questions people like yourself showed quite a large amount of angst!

Partaker, I understand what you are saying but feel it is a very slippery slope to go down when we diagnosis people on a public board. Where do you stop? If you are basing your evaluation on the posts a person made what is the slippery slope? If someone states they dislike a particular group because of their 'race' it would be safe to conclude they are racist. Evaluating people based on their writing is close to evaluating them on the couch in the office. You might want to look at the definition of mental disorder/illness. People may be very different but if they are functioning and not suffering they could well be normal. And were you suffering from a mental illness? If not, why do you care what she said (assuming she was not a therapist)? You find it distasteful because everyone does not share your beliefs? That seems a bit problematic for functioning on a daily basis. Like someone who states that they do not believe in a paranormal being? Throughout this post I see you exhibiting the same things that you are bringing up to others.

Hope Simpleton keeps this promise sometime soon. Deeply regret telling him to go on TMB, big mistake, sorry folks. There is no place for a simple old man like me, I am not at the same intellect level. For the time being I will take a holiday. I like your approach to all this and you are wise to draw back. Just reading all this stuff by simpleton and some of the comments gives me tinnitus.

I wonder who your 'lord' really is,@simpleton, seems he has a different spirit to the one mentioned in the bible, regardless of which version you read.

Given the thousands of gods that have been defined and the multitude os descriptions/attributea given to the christian god we can never be sure unless @simpleton tells us.

Could be rational, if you're your own god, pretty easy to believe you've sent yourself here, I guess!

Actually, -reading a lot this stuff by simpleton is quite entertaining if one can just step back & see the absurdity of so much of it!

"reading a lot this stuff by simpleton is quite entertaining" and that could be the most obvious motive of all. It is likely that on some threads a person has been having their own intimate conversations and arguments with themselves under the guise of two names. Using flawed religious systems to show up another is a smart (but devious) method. If this person has pretended to be anglo/catholic then I've also been sucked it... penny has started to drop as to who this could be.

Some of the posts are funny if deceptive but others are potentially damaging and bereft of humour. It serves no purpose to identify this person as would not know them anyway; outliers always attract attention.

Well give us a clue Joanna, don't keep us in the dark, he/she is really mind boggling, and kind of fascinating in a certain way.I have been on this forum for many years but have never came across a character like this one.

Hello @partaker I had an idea about his identity but then read a couple of nasty responses today and don't think the one I had in mind would be capable of such meanness, so best I shut up

There is no place for a simple old man like me, I am not at the same intellect level. For the time being I will take a holiday. Hope you are enjoying your holiday! No need to apologize. New posters bring a fresh view and, in the worst case, provide entertainment. No one has to read the posts. No one has to respond. If everyone posted only what people wanted to hear the forum would just be a self-congratulatory discussion amongst a group of people. (Gee - that sounds like a description of the metaphorical sense of a crude sexual practice!)

Sence of smell has largely disappeared. Perception of a rat's leavings though, is more accurate than ever before. Not a rarity in this forum. Like down under "red," and "partaker," this forum draws people like us here less and less.
Must prepare for children's and church education lesson... It will be on a word used some 260+ times in each and every NT in this home's library and largely ignored by organized religion. It is that by which a believer has assurance of something better ahead, despite denials by a number even in this forum. The closer that moment approaches, the more thankful this poster is for what that word represents.
Good bye for now,
Dennis Jacobsen

Dennis Jacobsen Keep holding on Dennis, for when this earthly journey is finally ended, for many of us, there will be a better place, for God is the Righteous judge, so there is no need to fear if we have served our Heavenly master faithfully. It is a pity and great shame that there is so little love and harmony displayed on this forum and in the wider world In general; having said that, there can still be found some love and harmony even among the animal kingdom. God's blessings be upon you and your nearest and dearest. Partaker. Your are wonderful. watch-v=srGTs1vWSvY

Thank you, howitis and partaker. You are both in my prayers of thankfulness as I wish the best for you and yours also. Borrowing another's computer to send this.
Had a very uncomfortable nuclear heart exam yesterday. If it turns out well, am scheduled for surgery on my eyes Dec. 4th. to help with vision. So thankful for this lovely mate who I believe GOD brought into my life in reply to my desperate prayers after Ylva's death. Why do I believe she was brought into my life by God? Because she is the perfect mate for me, and came from the other side of the country, only five days after desperate prayer of loneliness. Not one person other than she by my side cared for me during a $400,000.00 triple bypass surgery. As disabled as I am she cares for me every day. Her children now show love for me as well. They plan to include me if well enough to travel in their family reunion at a beach house in Pensacola Florida over Christmas. D.V. and the devil don't interfere.
Katie's father was a Korean war hero who gave his life for his men during that war. A veteran (Air Force Nurse and NP) herself of the Gulf war, Katie is an officer in the local DAR chapter. Turns out my own blood lines through my paternal grandmother qualify me for Son's of the revolution! Too worn out and decrepit to participate though! She is planning to return to her NP certified midwifery work after the first of the year as it appears she has found work doing that. Taking a Washington state Exam at this very time. She has passed the written exams, an now is taking the 4 hour "hands-on" portion. She doesn't believe in the concept of someone "delivering" a baby, says the mother does that, all those caring for them really do is "catch"" them! She has caught hundreds of them in her lifetime, lost nary a one, nor a mother!
Everyone can tell how much I think of her!
'S all now, very glad for those of you who do not leave rat droppings behind when you post! Miss so many who no longer post who didn't also!
Dennis Jacobsen

Dennis Jacobsen It almost sounds like you are trying to make a point. Or am I reading too much into these remarks and the ones in the following post?

I can't speak for Dennis, he may be fading health- wise like many of us, but I think that he is a very intelligent man and he most likely is trying to make a valid point based on his experiences on this forum. Why else would he make these statements? If anyone has a guilty conscience then, in my humble opinion, the hat will fit or the shoe will fit, and they can put the hat on or tie the shoe laces. Otherwise don't take his remarks personal and to heart. Partaker.

I have wondered about recent references to "rats" in light of the fact that some of the same commenters have routinely referred to rational as "rats" and have routinely taken pot shots at atheists on this board. It hardly takes a "guilty conscience" to see the possibility of a connection.
Intelligence sometimes coincides with wisdom and insight. Not always.
