I would appreciate it if people on this board would stop the search for who they think it is. Let me deal with it the right way, without the board deciding and starting rumor!  I am contacting Scott Ross, with who it is. I feel the damage has been done. I do not want this man to go to court. Being removed from the work is enough punishment. I DO not want to contact the police or authorities or take anyone to court. I just want to know that it will never happen to anyone again. I have had professional help and I have come as far as I can. I just need people to understand and not judge. Because of this I have many issues with the friends and some of my family. At the end of the day I know that they would be there for me. So thank you people for the positive advice, but I must do the right thing now. I don't feel bitter just feel nothing. Have him killed or permanently incarcerated/isolated. Just getting him out of the fellowship and into the public might not be the right thing to do. |

 A senior worker that was in Tasmania and Victoria, stayed in my parents home. We were going to a mission that was an hour away. He insisted in riding in the back of the car with my sister and I. My father had asked him several times that he should sit in the front and my mother would sit in the back with my sister and I. On the way to the mission he touched my leg several times, even though I moved away he kept doing it. On the way home he continued to do it. I felt very confused as I was a teenage girl and had feelings. He never did it to my sister, she had a bigger voice than me. As I know now, they know which victim to pray on . This same man was in the work with the other VIC worker than has been convicted. He used to stand outside my sister and my bedroom door late after my parents went to bed. I can only thank my sister, and her big voice that protected me from him. He is still a senior worker in the work today! I am too scared to ever contact anyone about this, but I thought posting on here is a start. I have only recently told my parents of this, who are still professing. And they are livid! Scott did this person contact you as they indicated they would? If so, will you give us the assurance that you are following up in a proper manner? If not, is it a scurrilous allegation to blacken the names of more Vic workers? You must realise that this allegation by Tas Girl (who remains anonymous here like me) means that several of our Vic workers are now under a cloud. It is not hard to guess at the likely person accused of grooming a minor and perhsps worse. Thanks Scott. |

Not doubting her situation but what did not make sense to me was that TASgirl wanted to keep it secret and the offender not exposed but came on a public board with great detail about the offender where there are many people who can work out who he is. Surely a quiet PM to Scott and not coming on this board would have been more what she was looking for if she wanted to keep the offender from being known.

Is it right that a letter is being sent out to all people in Tas. and Victoria? Even to those that are no longer in fellowship for whatever reason.
Is it being sent by the police, workers or the elders?
Just wondering why we have not received anything as yet.
We had him(them) stay in our home in the years they were in our area and the friends, elders and workers were well aware of this.

To those who have commented on me this board, get a life. This has not happened to you so you do not know how it feels. I said that I would contact Scott Ross, which I most certainly am going to. IN MY OWN TIME. SO BACK OFF!!! You can guess all you want about who you think it is but you are all wrong, VERY WRONG.  If they the workers are under a cloud then they want to be very scared about the many who have information, not just me. I don't care about them this is about me I have been scared all my life and comments are not going to scare me. I have witnesses, so just keep your comments to yourself.! I will not be writing in this board again, but contacting Scott Ross. |

Scott, it appears that some folks may think by writing here on TMB in the light of what's troubling them, that they think you can return an answer to them....they evidently do not understand that we use the PM way of private conversation on TMB or that they must at least give their email addy or their snail mail addy in order that you can do private conversation with them....is there any other way to help these folks, they're already under great strain? |

The big problem with reporting CSA is that some people are going to label you a gossip and trouble maker. And the fear of displeasing relatives is strong especially if the victim is young.

Very true, also the younger the victim the harder it is for them to reason out that they have nothing to be guilty about and the guilt the perp puts on them makes them even more afraid.....though I'm not saying that older victims don't feel guilty in that they feel unreasonably dirty....thus older victims tend to want to just take a bath and huddle in their own little corner.... |

From the BTS board: WINGS has had the following letter since it was first being distributed to families. It was not posted prior to this as we were wanting to give the workers there plenty of time to contact the friends and discuss this issue with them.
We have gotten some requests for this information from friends and ex members of the fellowship who have not received this information, so have decided that it would be best if it were posted so it can be shared as needed.
This is an ongoing investigation, and the contact details for the investigator have been given in this letter by David Leitch. He is encouraging the friends to contact the investigator with any information they may have regarding this issue.

Fat lot of good that will do. Even assuming the police understood workers and fields, are you imagining Mr Plod somehow figuring who all the friends in a certain field are, and doing his rounds calling on each one? Ploddy can't even identify the group whose followers he's hunting down by any recognizable name.
It may all sound quite open, but the veil of secrecy is compounded by the fear of the friends to tell the secrets.

As far as we are aware there was no list of families and homes given to police where E.B. may have stayed.
Over the years he stayed in our home and we were not even notified about anything, even when he was removed from the work, and he had admitted to what he had done.
