What about wills that clearly state leaving money to the workers. I know my parents left them money in their will. Maybe Canada is different? How does the US handle estates being left to the workers? Especially since we know they do have a registered name in some countries? The money part of these discussions continues to fascinate. I've read speculative posts that claim the 2x2 holders of the purse are sitting on truly gobsmacking amounts of wealth. Amounts that are not easily hidden. If true....what is being done with it? Does it just sit there? If it is the case that the money is used for health care and costs of elderly folks....even a lot of money runs out very quickly. I don't know. I'm just wondering how they get around not having to claim the large sums of money they get from some estates. They do spend quite a bit of money flying the workers around the world so that is one place it's spent.

I agree, we should know what expenditures are. An inheritance is not counted as income. Depending on the state where an inheritance takes place there is usually an exemption of millions of dollars where no tax is due. Federal inheritance exemptions are now about 12 million. I think that will change in a few years to 7 million.

I mean, the tax exemption requirements are very clear. Here is just one where you all are in murky waters: The organization must not be organized or operated for the benefit of private interests, and no part of a section 501(c)(3) organization's net earnings may inure to the benefit of any private shareholder or individual. If the organization engages in an excess benefit transaction with a person having substantial influence over the organization, an excise tax may be imposed on the person and any organization managers agreeing to the transaction. www.irs.gov/charities-non-profits/charitable-organizations/exemption-requirements-501c3-organizationsI could give you 17k every year and neither you nor I would owe tax on it. My wife could give you an additional 17k every year and you still would not owe tax on any of it. I could give every worker on our state's staff 17k every year and none of them would have to pay tax on it. www.foley.com/en/insights/publications/2023/02/increased-gift-estate-tax-exemption-amounts-2023

Would a heavily traveling individual worker do this ten times in a year? That would not make a dent in the figures people are banging on about. They don't seem to live extravagantly... Elderly care and health care are the only things that make sense.

WHY? Does quoting relevant scripture send the 2x2;s into sometimes a nasty response??

The Media has here !!! Victoria Australia several times, in 1967 the Dandenong Convention grounds were sold up At the Auction the vender was Christian Assemblies of Australia. God wanted the World to know ?? So the Lawyer stole some of the sale fortune ?? That got into the daily news print. Then of course the tragic Henderson kids suicide, news media again print,TV,radio, word to mouth etc.. Later of course two Preachers recieving 6 months jail each, for multiple "CHILD MOLESTINGS", That to a list of ex's Sister/bro who had to leave the 2x2 ministry because of sexual indiscretions. This was TV,Print, radio and of course word to mouth and with the 2x2's GOSSIP. In our district when I was a kid and older,no way could I have asked any school mates and local to a 2x2 ministry meeting,"WHY"the most horrid unstoppable paedophile, knowing he met with us Sunday mornings (and my brother and myself both victims) I was known as FIDDLERS LITTLE BOY (to many Fiddlers boy). So no chance the 2x2's could convert anyone in that area. In my 84 years even now not one 2x2 worker has held a 2x2 mission there? SO UNDER 2x2's DOCTRINE every person in that district are going to HELL,aren't they?? Yet the response you get (AINT CHRISTIAN) if you quote 1 Corinthians 9,verse,5-7. Yet all Scripture is inspired by Got the Bible says. Media sometimes God can use to EXPOSE??

Better if it were spent on Aged care, instead of holidays for Workers, who do little work nowadays.

Furthermore, if the gift exceeds the allowable amount paying the gift tax is usually the responsibility of the giver.
