I've had some incredible and amazing life experiences without needing to becoming a Worker. Well, all of your amazing life here on earth without God and Christ end at the GRAVE or it doesn't count in the next life. So, you better think again how you want to spent your life here on earth. God will call you standing before Him in the great judgment day to be accountable how you spent your life that He loan it to you? I hope God doesn't say to You, "Depart from me forever, you evil doer!" who wants to LIVE just for yourself, selfishly.Nobody has to be a worker to live amazing life. I have an amazing life where I am, helping people, sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with people at work and those I come in contact with here on TMB and many places for over 40 years. It's the most rewarding life and experience.
You tell him good, preacher boy.

There are convention grounds everywhere, what would be wrong with using them a couple of weeks a year for worker training and re training so everybody is singing from the same hymn book so to speak? The workers would certainly come back from them feeling a sense of empowerment and mutual support. Or is that not what is wanted? Is the school of hard knocks and tough surprises the preffered route? And you can leave the money bit out. Your chums have plenty of that for things they deem worthy.
They actually do have Worker meetings at conventions. I'm not privy to what they're about though?
You don't need training to be a Worker, most all grew-up in the Truth and are already singing from the same hymn book. The life is the training ground, they aren't sociologist, no preacher is really geared to counsel people on matters outside of biblical instructions. Although, wisdom and experience always count for something.
When I was a worker from 1986-93... Most of my older companions encouraged the friends who had marital challenges and problems, try to attend marriage counselors to get professionals help, we only tell them to pray and showing them what Jesus and the apostles have taught in the Bible.
When I was in Montana field, we had one professing marriage counselor and many of the workers sent the friends to him. First, they must rely on God for their help, and go to marriage counselors as a secondary helpers. Prayers to God and asking for His help is a lot cheaper!

its a messy little web of cat and mouse for sure... Yep! When Trump was the President, he did NOT want to fight China and Russia at the same time. He concentrated on China first and leave Russia for later on. It seems Obama/Biden Adm. wants to take BOTH of them/China and Russia at the same time right now! I believe that is a dangerous game plan.yes he definitely has his toes in both pools of evil gov'ts...fence riders are quite the common thing nowadays...

excellent point... Amen. God and Holy Spirit have been teaching, training the children when they attend the gospel meetings, Wed. Bible studies, special meetings, speaking Sunday morning meetings every Sunday... they don't even know about it.When the children in the truth go in the work, they speak like a pros because they had been doing public Sunday morning meetings for most of their lives. Sometimes, at convention we have an outsider from another denomination tried to give his/her testimony doesn't speak the 2x2s language we can see the children heads turned and see who's speaking.... The children are paying attention more than the adults give them credits for.

Fine! -but I'm surprised!
In my day the workers thought they knew every solution from how to raise your children to ignoring any personal rights you might have.
In my case I was suppose to leave my own home & move into another person's house so a certain worker could leave for the work.
Did I get any understanding from anyone for how I felt about that? Ha!

LoL, that must have worked out great for the workers! The Professing people would tell all their problems to the Professing marriage counselor and he would give all the dirt to the workers do they would know what to preach about!

I was wondering just how much training these new workers will get in defending the faith from the facts? Will they be trained in witch burnings, book burning, Heretic trials, etc.? For example will they join others of their ilk that supported the following? Philip Pullman's incendiary " His Dark Materials" trilogy ignited a global conversation, and fury, as the books captivated the imaginations of (many!) millions when the first novel in the series was published in 1995. Christian groups protested the anti-religion stance of the author while academic bodies invited Pullman for guest lectures. Libraries logged countless requests to ban the material while movie studios fought over the rights to develop films based on the works.

I'm not sure about witch burnings, but the Catholics are training lots of other denominations on how to do exorcisms www.foxnews.com/world/satanic-vatican-catholics-exorcism-summit.ampThose who advocate more "training" for the workers must be VERY sad that the friends are missing out! An exorcist should get an extra special seat at the convention workers table after a long day of casting demons into farm animals

The workers know what is going on because they live with the friends so they know a lot of things about the friends and the friends know about them too. The workers have their own grapevine so does the friends, they are keeping each others in line.

A little guidance. should it be "so does the friends" or "so do the friends" In the present tense of your sentence, do should function as an auxiliary to express the negative and to ask questions. Does, however, is substituted for third-person, singular subjects in the present tense. I'm not a grammar teacher but perhaps Bob might be of some help on this. I don't pray at night. She doesn't pray here anymore. Do you pray here? Does he pray here? Oh boy now I have confused myself and need to pray on this.

You need to read Jesus story in Luke 16 where the atheist's soul goes after dearth. The body returns to the dust of the ground, which God/Christ created mankind from. Jesus/God shows and reveals where the atheists souls go and stay in Hades/inner eath after death until God calls them to appear at the final judgement day. I use Nathan2 name when I am posting at work on my cell phone. Sorry, for the confusion.

Quote nathan02 "The workers have their own grapevine so does the friends, they are keeping each others in line"
A better way of putting it would be because 2x2's have so little in their lives they spend most of their time gossiping about one another. If you are an "A" list person Workers will share the gossip with you. If you are at the bottom of the pile then the gossip will be about you.
Gossip is wrong, no matter how you look at it. Spreading malicious rumors will not only hurt the subject of the gossip, it makes you look bad in a rude and immature kind of way. It also makes the person or people you're talking to uncomfortable, or at least it should.

After all they were indoctrinated into a house of cards which they believe has a firm foundation.

Why do people get the idea that they must go out and change other people. We should always concentrate on our own life, get it right, that will have an influence for good on others.
I like the Buddhist idea, always concentrate on improving yourself, spend your time doing that. Think the Christian idea that you can do wrong, just go to Church on Sunday, ask forgiveness, all good. IMO a false dichotomy.

IMO a false dichotomy. depends on the change sought... as to true repentance or fake repentance: Gal_6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. interesting rumor: women go into relationships/marriage thinking men will change, men go into relationships/marriage thinking women wont change...

Telling people that they are destined for Hell, is not the way to win friends and have influence in their lives. Compassion and understanding is the better way. Compassion is to recognize the suffering of others and then take action to help. Compassion embodies a tangible expression of love for those who are suffering.
