It's in the video and the video itself. I thought you were talking about some education official. Could you clarify by what you mean "education official"?

Individualism puts the focus on doing whatever is best for “me,” regardless of what effect that has on the “group.” You are easily excited Chuck. Don’t be afraid. I didn’t say this is what I believe. What I am trying to say is case dependent. According to many conservative Christian’s (including 2x2s) individualism is the bane of Christianity and has cost many their souls. Pretty much what I stated. Just have to at this for effect: Individualism is, indeed, sinful. It is a voluntary decision to say no to God, and to say yes to the bodily desires of what is finite. Individualism is excessively concerned with self-preservation and self-concern. The more excessive individualism is practiced, the more the scope of reality is diminished and narrowed. digitalcommons.lmu.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1019&context=saysomethingtheological#:~:text=individualism%20is%2C%20indeed%2C%20sinful.,reality%20is%20diminished%20and%20narrowed. Please note. This is not what I believe. Why are you speaking for the Christians?. If that is the Christian position its a really confusing one to me now. The idea of love your neighbor as yourself starts with the individual and I see no evidence that it is suggesting for the individual to be selfish therefore you treat everyone else accordingly but rather exactly the opposite, the evolution of the idea of God in scripture is to treat individuals as something of worth despite the tribalism and you can only do that if you treat yourself that way to begin with. To say individualism is to say no to God is a oxymoron. Imo this is a result of reading scripture through the lense of form instead of function. When read as form it leads to tribalism first individual second, you dont have to look very far to see the destruction of religious tribalism, plenty of people here could vouch how nastily they were treated because they chose to put their individualism before the tribe..... Noted this is not what you believe. You asked a few posts back - why the group think? (well you said group things but I assume you meant think). So I have been suggesting reasons. 1) we’re wired that way - we are tribal by nature 2) we are a Christian culture. Christianity is a tribe which strongly recommends compliance. That’s it. Dispute it is you like.

People thinking that to be a Christian is to put the tribe first are mistaken imo and are in danger of falling into tribal warfare again.......it's the antithesis of the Christ story. The religion Christianity has been grappling with this issue for a long time and it clearly disregards it roots when it plays with tribalism comes first. Imo the religion Christianity is not fundementalm to being a Christian, they are two different things entirely today, one is tribe first and the other is individual first regardless of what tribe you belong to, this means people who do not relate to the religion Christianity at all can be Christian. They are not the same thing. Fundemental to the idea of being a Christian was how you treated other people, not what tribe you belonged to. Somehow along the way that's morphed into they are the same thing and the tribe is the fundemental thing now.

So you have to ask yourselves why do they have these values when other schools dont? Because the ideas that have shaped the west are still alive in private schools. Public schools are slowly killing them out and replacing it with radical left ideology, near or at the top of that list are things like trying to sexualise our little kids and make our little boys feel guilty for something they haven't done...... Not all public schools are bad, and not all private schools are great, its just a trend that's starting to happen and the level of radical left curriculum taught all depends on the teachers, luckily we have not been exposed to this but I think it's about to start. I feel like I was "sexualized" by the conservative version of the identity politics of the 60s and early 70s. "Boys are better than girls" was both a spoken and unspoken pervasive message. When a teacher asked, "Do you think a woman will ever be president?" everyone laughed. It was unthinkable. ( chuck can you empathize with the girls here?) As a kid, I was the lone girl in figure skates playing pond hockey with the men and boys, while the women and children skated in circles in the next rink. I hated that every weekend that we skated, I felt obliged to ask permission to play and permission to borrow my dad's spare shin guards and stick. All of the boys my age had their own hockey gear. I think some of them probably played on teams at school (though they weren't supposed to according to the Workers). I hated the "trick" my mom let me in on, that by letting a man think an idea was his, a woman could secretly wield considerable power and influence. The key, she explained, was letting a man feel like he was in charge. Not surprisingly, I was horrified when I hit puberty and realized that I was going to turn into a woman, not because I was gender dysphoric, but because being a woman felt like such a trap to me. The norms and stereotypes of "womanhood" were stifling and toxic and made no sense to me. So I am thrilled that rigid norms and stereotypes about gender are being challenged. I believe many men and women have been unnecessarily and unfairly squashed over the years by traditional "identity politics".

The problem is it's 2023 and our boys are being made to apologise and feel guilty for what was happenening 50 years ago. The same thing is happening in our schools with race, my kids come home confused asking me "dad who actually crosses the street to avoid the black person?" because it is implied in class that it's still a massive problem today but they don't see it happening in reality so they are confused, they see black kids getting all sorts of lurks and perks at school whilst being told the white person is opressing them and the white person is privileged and needs to apologise for it, any critical thinking kid can see what's acutally happening does not match the rhetoric. People are living, thriving and rationalising immoral behaviour on history through identity politics. It's not going to end well. The extremes on both sides play indentity politics but its the extreme left that is indoctrinating our kids at the moment hence my proclivity to keep pointing that out.

I learned that others had a very different experience of the world in ways that I had no clue about until I stopped to listen to people directly affected. I don't know what you are talking about. That's your take. I don't expect men and boys to apologize. I do appreciate guys who can stop, listen, and learn about the sometimes devastating effects of sexism and misogyny, and then move forward with a healthy sense of humility. The same goes for white people, or anyone who can take things for granted and even ignore things that others cannot.

It's a character not a person. Ok following the character of Jesus. It seems to Jesus it's not his character 7 But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. - John 16:7 www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John16:7&version=NIVOur selfish character must leave to be replaced by an unselfish one, this is why in Exodus it say's...... But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.” - Exodus 33:20 www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Exodus33:20&version=NIVThe selfish character cannot live in the face of a unselfish one. It's just not possible. But to the writer of John Jesus is 'the character', its a story told of their version of a rescuer, and it's important to think like a Hebrew so the story is not misrepresented. For example... When he had finished praying, Jesus left with his disciples and crossed the Kidron Valley. On the other side there was a garden, and he and his disciples went into it.Now Judas, who betrayed him, knew the place, because Jesus had often met there with his disciples. So Judas came to the garden, guiding a detachment of soldiers and some officials from the chief priests and the Pharisees. They were carrying torches, lanterns and weapons.Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, “Who is it you want?”“Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “I am he,” Jesus said. (And Judas the traitor was standing there with them.)When Jesus said, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground. - John 18:1-6 www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John18:1-6&version=NIVThese Characters fall down when faced with the Jesus Character. Think function not form....

Look at it this way. Genesis is one of the most enduring charters for the hatred of women. Genesis set people up to hate one another. An example of that hatred was seen on here recently with women being called feminazi. People are hated for their race. In Australia, men went out to hunt and kill the Aborigenes for sport. The buybull is supposedly about love but it's difficult to believe that when from the beginning it preaches hatred.

Soccer (FOOTBALL) may hold an answer, about twenty years ago youth soccer made changes from coed to special teams just for girls. Boy could not play on girls' teams. However, girls could request to play on boys' teams and boys' teams are still coed to this very day. And then in some areas a club may not have enough girls to make a team and they have to go coed. So, I guess we could say necessity dictates policy. Over all at the adult leave we now have womans soccer and they generally do quite well and in some cases draw large audiences.

That sounds mostly like one man's opinion. There is nothing like that promoted in the Bible and he didn't even quote it correctly. CRT and the 1619 project are not Black History. However, it is corrupt propaganda from those that reside on the left side of the aisle.

However, it is corrupt propaganda from those that reside on the left side of the aisle. It was not one man's opinion. It was the mindset of many early church fathers and it's why men in Christianity think they have the right to be 'over' their wives. Banning history books that talk about black history should not ever be allowed. Boo hoo to all the white people that don't want to be reminded of what happened to black people because it might make them 'feel bad'!! Really! If that's the only hardship they have in life they can consider themselves very lucky. But black history isn't about being made to feel guilty; it's about making sure we know what happened so that it won't happen again. It's like not learning about the holocaust. It makes no sense to not teach what we want to avoid in the future.
