** It was God the Father, Christ and Holy Spirit who set up the 2x2 apostolic itinerant ministry! A life of selfless of His servants. There have been workers who died in the work to the end. Jesus has set the perfect example for His TRUE servants to follow; Christ/God left his home in heaven to come down to this earth live in a human body and die a human death on Calvary to pay for our sins to set our souls free from Hades/inner earth or Satan's prison. Christ wants those whom he send forth in the ministry to have the same passion and love for the souls of men and women, boys and girls. By laying down their dreams, jobs, career and potential of having families of their own to LIVE for others. By their willingness to follow Jesus examples as the TRUE shepherd, they will encourage their converts to do the same living for others like Jesus has done. We have an ENEMY Satan, the fallen angels walking on the earth looking for souls whom they might devour, getting the to exchange eternal life for wealth, fame and the riches of this world. There has been workers, the friends fall into Satan's traps and snares and gave up their crowns of life. Feeding and nourishing their own humans weaknesses of lust, greed and pride/their own demons so, it grows too strong for them to control it. As long we live on the earth we are on the battle field, it's NOT over until we reach to the other side. This is religion. Man made religion. God Jesus Bible talk with zero applicable teaching for our daily interaction with man. Pure 2x2ism. Nothing to do with Christ's teachings. You are in BIG trouble, Chuck your understanding of the Scriptures are off tracks and it getting worse and worse every day.

** There will always be bad apples like Judas, the traitor, backsiders Christians in Jesus days, the apostles days, the next 1900 yrs and even the last 120 years of 2x2 history! 40-60% 2x2 workers and the friends Didn't finish their race with honor. William Irvine, John Long, and Edward Cooney testimonies show us NO ONE is 100% SAVED until we reach to the other side! Please, be alert and put on your whole amour of God and rely on God and Christ power to fight against Satan Evil force and sneak attacks from all sides. Married in work with children are NOT very practical life for the children. Follow Jesus example as unmarried apostle NOT Peter or other married apostles with children. Jesus allowed Peter and other married apostles in the ministry but He recommends to follow his example as an married preacher of the gospel read Matthew 19. Married workers without children are Ok. It must be awful not knowing if you've done enough to save yourself from Hell till after you die. Luckily Christ saved All from themselves already. Trust In the Character of Christ to lead you to the best outcomes in life. That's salvation. Why don't you trust in it Nathan...... Salvation is NOT a fixed state but a progression... Jesus said he that ENDURE unto the END shall be SAVED. Many on here used to be 2x2s and now have become atheists.
Many 2x2s started in the race from earth to heaven, but for some reasons of their own choice and choosing they gave up, and could NOT finish it. The crowns of life are given to those who have crossed over the finished line NOT to those who given up right in the middle of it or near at the end of the line.
Read the book of Revelation to the 7 churches! Many left their first love, some believed in false doctrines, live immoral lives and so on, Jesus told them to REPENT of their sins or He will remove their names from the book of life.

It is William Irvines tradition. He didn't know why they didn't take shoes money bags and staff just like you, but he had a brainwave that maybe that's what he should do and started the 2x2 tradition thinking he was doing exactly what they did 1900 years ago. Only he had no clue at all. This is why its important to at least acknowledge the Hebraic perspective and understand the custom of Jewish Rabbai's, they couldn't take shoes, staffs or money bags into a temple........ And as for carry light, seems like a full boot load to me. As well as laptops, phones, instruments, and "what's the wifi password?" when they walk in the door.... Seems hardly like what they did 2000 years ago. Not only that but I can quite clearly remember the ear bashings on the internet and computers and smart phones....... the word Hypocrit comes to mind. Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples:2 “The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat.3 So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.4 They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.5 “Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long;6 they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues;7 they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by others. - Matthew 23:1-7 www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew23:1-7&version=NIV William Irvine knew exactly what he was doing because he learned it from the Faith Mission when he joined them as their preacher in 1895-1900. The Faith Mission preachers followed Jesus example of Matthew 10 instruction to the 12 apostles. Go forth by Faith and God will provide all of their needs.
Jesus told the 12, 70 to go and preach the gospel that the Messiah has come mostly to the Children of Israel and they were NOT told go to the temple but everywhere, but not to the Gentiles people at the time but later on.
William Irvine had a wonderful revelation of Jesus Truth and Way apostolic 2x2 ministry in the beginning but he lost his vision and understanding at the end around 1914 and was excommunicated from the ministry and fellowship 1917. WI was a Faith Mission preacher in 1897 and told John Long about Jesus 2x2 apostolic and he became a Faith Mission member in 1898-1914.
In 1897 Many believed William Irvine the Faith Mission 2x2 workers/apostolic ministry, but many of William Irvine converts didn't want to join the Faith Mission group or become their members. They started on their own like and later became KNOWN as the 2x2 friends and workers in 1900s.
Your last paragraph shows that you do not understand the Faith Mission's objectives. No wonder you are a mixed up addled brained commy spy.

They sent their converts back to their churches which they came out of, or they could join any churches/denomination of their choice, or they can become the Faith Mission prayer union member like John Long had done 1898-1914 and 2x2 worker from 1898-1907. Many of William Irvine's convert from the Faith Mission didn't want to go back to the churches they came out of; they didn't agree with the FM doctrines such as no baptism for their converts; no partake of the Eucharists among the FM members.
The 2x2s want to follow Jesus 2x2 ministry apostolic ministry and New Testament fellowship/Eucharists or Christ's Passover with the believers in the homes. They baptized their converts and they don't tell or encourage them to join the churches of their choice but to stay and have fellowship with them like they did in the 1st century.

Not terrible, but very much designed for 2x2 consumption. Leo always had his own "revelation" on a lot of matters -- particularly that the ministry is the focus of the church, and the workers have pope-like revelations for modern times. Interesting character.

Yes, it's a TRUE story.... A few years ago, there was an ex-Catholic Priest that professed at Parma, convention in Idaho. He confirmed Leo S. RCC history is correct. I had the ex-priest's testimony and I posted on here awhile back.
I had heard Leo S. spoke on the RCC history many times on the island of Guam.

All Christian Churches would relate to the same beginning, they all preach Christ. We have attended many different denominations, the message is all the same, common subject. We never ever did hear a Christian Church preach about Mohamed or Buddha. Sort of makes sense doesn't it.
Probably why they are called Christians, they all follow the teachings of Christ.

Yes, all Christianity preached Jesus but a different gospel of Jesus, they do all kinds of good charity in the name of Christ but He said they will NOT enter heaven because they didn't do it according to His instructions or they have His approval Matthew 7:13-28
Jesus said in Matthew 7: 13-28 “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is constricted that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
A Tree and Its Fruit: 15 “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes, nor figs from thistles, are they? 17 So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 So then, you will know them by their fruits.
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; leave Me, you who practice lawlessness.’
The Two Foundations:
24 “Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and [e]acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell and the [f]floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does not [g]act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell and the [h]floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and its collapse was great.”
When Jesus had finished these words, the crowds were amazed at His teaching.

No Nathan you don't. You build on William Irvine..... ** William Irvine and the 2x2 workers built on Jesus Christ New Testament 2x2 apostolic ministry and worship/Eucharists on Sunday in the homes of believers. William Irvine received Jesus 2x2 apostolic Matthew 10 ministry from the Faith Mission, whom he preached from 1895-1900. It wasn't William Irvine or the 2x2 workers ideas at all. No Nathan. House did not just mean a House like it does today. It also meant "temple". It also meant a "individual person". Early people met in homes because of fear of persecution. Temple rules forbid people taking certain things into the temple, some are mentioned in Matt 10. Because of religion people could not take these things into the temple's because they had to show or appear that they were very dedicated to God, one of the very reasons Pharisees wore long robes, to show they were above working for a living because they were so dedicated to God(this should be ringing alarm bells right now), it's all about the "image". Jesus knew his disciples would not be allowed in temple's carrying those things. Just like William Irvine you are ignorant to many things, however you can readily access things that Mr Irvine could not. Stop reading it literally and grasp the context of what was actually going on in the day.

Was it it not William Irvine and his 12 cohorts. *** Yes, they have put many burdens on the friends, may God have mercy on their souls. God gives us the brains let us use it wisely and rely on the Spirit to lead us, like when Eli the high priest two sons caused a lot of harms to God's kingdom/people. Hana prayed to God to give her a son, then he would be a true servant to God and He heard her prayer and granted her godly requested for a son. God took cared of Eli 2 sons and replaced them with Hans's son Elijah the prophet to lead God's people through difficult time. PRAY for the kingdom that God will send forth godly men and women leaders to point and guide people to follow those who follow Jesus and His New Testament teachings, will STAND the test of time.

What could you change to the 2x2 formula which would make it even more attractive to a pedophile preacher? The 2x2 put the preachers in the home with the kids, one upping the RCC formula. Maybe, let’s go camping with the workers. It worked for the Boy Scouts.

I can't say I have given much thought into improving a pedophiles strike rate.... From the outsiders view, it looks like the 2x2 and RCC had that goal in mind. I highly doubt that that is what they set out to do. Doesn't mean that there are not those among the group that do though. To suggest that the discussion was had "one of our goals is to ruin kids lives by assaulting them" is silly to say the least. 27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell. - Matthew 5:27-30 www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew5:27-30&version=NIVI would suggest Christ is onto something here. Luckily today we have professionals that can help people with serious problems, although if you are beyond help it would still be better to cut it off than drag your life and those around you into a state of Hell by a compounding problem as serious as the one in discussion. It always does amuse me how the literalists never take these verses literally.....
