Omg really ? No one pays me . Seriously no one . Not sure how your pension works there but I don’t pay a penny . I paid the government each check sometimes $744 in taxes . I have paid my way .
I would love to be able to work . I cry sometimes when riding the bus , because I miss it . The one thing I don’t pay is bus fare . I ride for free as did my dad .
Ok you worked in a office or outside sometimes yes it takes a toll . I get it . My physical work crippled me
I walk with a cane , I take morphine for the pain .
The only way you can get a narcotic prescription is by attending Pain management clinic for a year , where the try everything other to stop the pain . I help support my mom and 3 junkie kids who cannot work . They are all on methadone . My oldest daughter was just given the news that she may live one more year cirrhosis of the liver . My youngest daughter in psych ward , my son-in-law has AIDS . They need help financially sometimes . I pay $350 towards my mom’s care centre . I have a granddaughter and a beautiful great granddaughter that keep my busy . I live in low cost housing . Because I am the matriarch . They come to me for opinions , food but most importantly I love them to ♾ . This is not a contest !!!! Your words hurt me , flat out hurt me ! Done ✅

I frankly get quite sick of Americans telling Canadians and NOTHING IS FREE. That's precisely why Canadians PAY FOR THEIR HEALTH CARE the way they do. They figured it out for themselves. What Canadians should be telling Americans is that Americans are paying exorbitant profits to private interests who have no more concern for your health care than to sort your money and pass some of it on to the people who are actually caring for your health. The private banks and insurance companies are not your "government of, by and for" the people -- YOUR government has left decisions about what health care you should have and how much you should pay for it to your employers and private corporations. That's how medical care got provided to slaves, back then. Of course. Obama Care became a fancy cover term to disguise the fact that what it actually did was give the private insurance companies a mandate to provide coverage -- and carry on deciding how much they would charge and how much of it they would keep to themselves. All true, US healthcare is a mess, even Obama said he wasn't satisfied with ObamaCare and preferred a single payer system. But nothing is free, someone has got to pay, whether it be directly or through taxation. One big difference is how governments choose to appropriate revenues. Canadians & Americans pay similar taxes, but Canada spends 1.31% of GDP on defense, about $20 billion annually, while the USA spends 3.4% of their GDP on defense, to the tune of $686.1 billion in 2019. If we cut defense spending to match Canada, we'd have well over a half trillion dollars to spend every year on healthcare. But of course, we would also run the risk of someone bombing the hell out of us  Doesn't matter how many bombs you have if the other guy hits you first. Why are you afraid of being bombed more than Canada is afraid of being bombed? Aren't most countries just as liable to being bombed by those that have them? |

Alberta rocks better for sure ! We pay no provincial taxes ! We do have provincial taxes, perhaps you meant no sales tax? We also don't pay a monthly medical fee like all the other provinces. But we definitely do pay for our medical through income tax, provincial and federal. Also we pay GST. |

Alberta rocks better for sure ! We pay no provincial taxes ! Alberta's oil income will be about zilch just now. Yup I believe the other day the price per barrel was in the negative numbers. |

... 3 junkie kids who cannot work . I don't know your entire back story, but from what you say you have been a responsible hard working parent who cares for your family. I don't know why your kids got on their self-destructive course, sometimes it just bad luck. Parents and society need to give them a helping hand but at some point they need to help themselves or accept the consequences of their actions. Sometimes it takes tuff love for them to change course and become responsible contributing citizens so they can help others. |

What I find odd is the disparity in pay between vets and doctors. When you go the doctors he asks you where it hurts etc and then comes to a conclusion When you get a vet out to see the bull he looks it up and down and the damn thing doesn't say a word. He has to work hard to figure out what's wrong with it. That seems to me to take a lot more skill. True, but if the vet kills the bull by mistake would there be less of a fuss than if the doctor killed your mother in law? LOL that brings back memories of my first trip to Mexico. When we crossed the border we had to stop for car insurance because other countries insurance aren't any good in Mexico. So we went inside the border insurance building and got our insurance and the guy selling us the insurance told us that if we hit anyone we shouldn't stop, but if we hit a bull/cow we needed to track down the owner and pay them restitution. I remember being absolutely blown away! This was way back in the early 80's. |

Oh my gosh . I was raped at 13 and excommunicated for speaking . I was abused from 2-13 . My kids always went to convention , with their Grandpa and Grandma , they were abused there . My oldest professed at age 9 . 1 told me 2 years ago . The other just told me while in psych ward at present .
The TRUTH ! BROKE US ! My dad apologized for it
My husband committed suicide , we received no help .
My parents know nothing about my girls and I will not tell my mom . My mom was videotaped in case she passed . I have not been able to hold her , while we struggle we both have COVID19 .

I don’t believe that . So I moved the goal posts . They had warning shots .
There were 10 women in our family , we all professed . 8 of us were sexually abused in the 2X2 way . We share , including my boy cuz’s we share .
When I look straight at a lady worker and tell or asked , she said oh just let it be , then a male worker was asked and oh no need , just forgive !

I did that to celebrate being sober as well as my tattoo’s they tell stories and I designed all of them . I took my mom to Didsbury till she was not able . I heard it all . Comments

Once I was in Daytona Beach on a business trip and had some time on my hands. I remembered that bike week was going on. So I decided to visit, still wearing a suit and tie. I went into a certain saloon where it is the custom that women take off the bras. The ceiling is full of bras hanging from the ceiling. It's the kind of place where everyone in there has lots of tattoos and body piercings. When I walked in the front door past the bouncer the whole place went dead silent. It was an interesting experience in reverse psychology in action. The guy with no piercings no tattoos was the most scary. |

Silly them, there are narc's at Daytona Bike Week and probably some in that bar then, but they don't go around in suits and dark sunglasses. I too am a biker so I know how to deal with them. Most bikers today are old, & totally harmless. |

We disagree totally . You have another option if you are rich . That’s ok , if they can afford it let them go to private clinics . Example my medication alone is $8000 a year . I pay $4 dollars . The surgeries had in our family is expensive . Wait times are different , nothing about being rich . I had a endoscopy and CT and ultra sound on Thursday , I meet with my specialists on Monday . My brother is a quadriplegic , that bill is in millions . He has to be medically transferred by a medical plane . He cannot take a regular flight ✈️ He goes back to Vancouver 4 times a year . More surgeries coming . He was life flighted to Vancouver the night of the accident . Over 1 million , he paid nothing , still doesn’t . I am not sure why people are scared of our health care . My mom has Parkinson’s , we don’t get billed by a doctor for anything . My brothers wheelchair was over $5000 . No bill ! I am being monitored right now because of pandemic . My son-in-law has AIDS no money required . His meds over $1000 per month , no money . My daughter has cirrhosis of the liver , they pay nothing . We are good ! We still have money and don’t have to pay for heart surgery and file for bankruptcy . My dad was handicapped we paid nothing for his hip transplant . That when terribly wrong . We don’t have toll roads . However in Texas when making our way back from San Antonio to Crowley we used them But it was my bestie’s mom car , poor Lois got the charged lol . We heard about it a lot !

Yes we don't have as many as the states, but we do have them down east. The Coquihalla used to be one and two bridges in Vancouver too. Port Mann and Golden Ears.
