I was not talking about "walking on eggshells," wally. I was talking about prejudice that is expressed in language that CAN & DOES led to mental as well as PHYSICAL actual harm; -damage to real people and can last for their life time.
But then, if one is already is concerned about the welfare of other people, -concerned about their fellowmen on this journey through life, -perhaps they wouldn't even need to fear what they said. Their concern for others would just come naturally.
That would be the advertisement for walking on egg shells.... Kindness and caring for people is walking on eggshells? I don’t find that unless I have negative sentiments in my heart. Then yes I need to be very careful.

Wally, um... I wonder if you would say "hehehehe..." if the hole it "punched" was into yourself or someone you loved, -for instance your mother perhaps?
Dan's sense of what is humor gets more than a bit bizarre at times.

Mildred, the church gossip and self-appointed monitor of the church's morals, kept sticking her nose into other people's business. Several members did not approve of her extra-curricular activities, but feared her enough to maintain their silence. She made the mistake, however, when she accused Frank, a new member, of being an alcoholic after she saw his old pickup parked in front of the town's only bar one afternoon. She emphatically told Frank (and several others) that everyone seeing it there would know what he was doing! Frank, a man of few words, stared at her for a moment and just turned and walked away. He didn't explain, defend, or deny. He said nothing. Later that evening, Frank quietly parked in front of Mildred's house ... Walked home ... And left it there all night.
You gotta love Frank.

That’s very funny, Bob. Reminds me of the time my parents went on vacation and my boyfriend came over to the house. Our neighbor lady was the town busybody. I let my boyfriend in the front door and later when he left, I let him out the back door and he walked home. The next day he came over in the morning and came in the back door and he and I walked out the front door. Not saying there weren’t any shenanigans going on in the meantime, but U get the idea. Ha ha Ha

Ha ha Ha I had a great aunt who was kind of like that. So one day (when I was a teenager) my female cousin and I walked past her house on the sidewalk, holding hands. Out the corner of our eyes we saw them all peeking out the windows to look at us, so we kept on walking. A short way off, we turned around and walked back and knocked on her door for a visit. HAHAHAHA They didn't know what to say.

Three sisters age 92, 94 and 96 live in a house together. One night the 96 year old draws a bath, puts her foot in and pauses. She yells down the stairs, "Was I getting in or out of the bath?" The 94 year old yells back, "I don't know, I'll come up and see." She starts up the stairs and pauses, then she yells, "Was I going up the stairs or coming down?" The 92 year old was sitting at the kitchen table having tea listening to her sisters. She shakes her head and says, "I sure hope I never get that forgetful." She knocks on wood for good measure. She then yells, "I'll come up and help both of you as soon as I see who's at the door."

One is I really don't have to be concerned about getting enough exercise because just within the house I have to turn around and go back to where I started in order to remember where I was going & what I was going there for!
After a day doing that I have no need any extra exercise!

I have a housemate at present who is 2 years younger that I, but I think is failing faster than I am. Yesterday he told me he didn't sleep well the night before, so he was going to vacuum his floor so he would be tired enough to get to sleep that night. I forgot to check with him today on how that worked for him.

A bit off key but: We lost Johnny Cash, Steve Jobs and Bob Hope now there is no cash, jobs or hope.

That marine-sentry was calm compared to myself!
Not long ago a tree across the alley was hit by lighting
Our computer is in our sunroom which is just a few feet from the alley.
I suddenly found myself out of my chair before I even knew I had moved!
I guess survival instinct just took over!

I'm not asking about the theory behind that invention.

I'm not asking about the theory behind that invention. I'm thinking Dan is confused about their purpose, and lives in the far north.
