A meteor may not cause the end of the world or our earth but it may kill loads of current life. The meteor event that killed the dinsaurs for instance was also the trigger for the rise of mammals including all us members of the Great Ape family.What will be the next form of life? |

There is a school of thought that the most successful life forms on earth are those that have got humans doing everything for them to ensure there is lots of them. Such things as wheat and barley, potatoes and corn. I hadn't heard it put that way, but it is true in a way 😄 |

As a nurse who had to read doctor's hand written orders all of my working life, -believe me when I say this is NOT comical!   The hours we would have to spend trying to decipher a doctors hand-writing sometimes consumed more time than actually carrying out the order!

I once rescued an elderly man on an escalator. I was about to get off a very long escalator coming out of a subway station in Boston, and I looked back down and there was this man basically lying on his back, with his arms on the railings and his feet slipping off the steps as they kept moving upwards past him. I ran as fast as I could down the down side and got behind him and lifted him off the railings to get him to stand back up again. He was so exhausted that he could hardly walk when he got off at the top of the ride. It was late at night and not another person was anywhere in sight. I wonder what would have happened to him if I hadn't been there to help him. |

The hours we would have to spend trying to decipher a doctors hand-writing sometimes consumed more time than actually carrying out the order! In my neck of the woods they don't give written scripts anymore. Scripts are sent directly to your preferred pharmacy. |
