The Mouse is back. Hi Spiderman. Dont think DL in Tassie yet. Afriend of a friend told the leetle mouse that Bernard was heading south for a mtg of the friends. Someone suggested DL here to "straighten us out". Yikes the curl will be gone from the end of my tail!!!!! Probably a good idea if he stayed in Vic at the moment. Or maybe he's doin a runner. Royal Commission coming up. It is good to have my curly tailed friend back........I was worried that some mean old big cat had gobbled you up ;D DL has been occupied here sacking workers, so I think he will be looking forward to a quiet life in NW TAS. I don't imagine there are too many people up there needing to be straightened out (unless you live there mousey You might be able to straighten him out! He sure needs some sound advice on how to deal with CSA as he can't hide from the RC in the TAS wilderness. What is the "mtg of the friends" that Bernard is going to?

;D OK Spiders. Obvious I dont know the real Angelina too well. You obviously read or watched her lot more than I have!!!!!
Thanks Badger for the info on the Hobart mtg. Obviously nothing sinister there. Its a worry when the Victorians know more of what is going on in TAS than the Taswegians. Or is it just a good grapevine that keeps you well-informed.

Hey Spiders, Have you read on Wings BTS, a thread called South Australian Worker. Interesting comments by "goandsinnomore" !! Angie Mouse I have been following this one with interest Angie. The treatment of Steve by DL has been shocking and I applaud goandsinnomore for voicing his concerns with Alan Kitto. It looks to me like a case of shooting the messenger to try and cover up what is really happening. There seems to be a concerted effort by the workers to silence victims of abuse and those who are prepared to stand up for victims. How do you see things from where you are?

I feel sorry for all those wanting some clarity and real Godly/Scriptural and Law-Legal action to take place on the terrible past/current criminal CSA's by those mentally disordered(WHO,World Health Organisation has catalogued Paedophiles as "mentally disordered")paedophile He/Her 2x2 Workers. No meetings are going to fix it,as one of the major heresies of the Christian Conventions of Victoria (still some deny name)Reg'd/Inc,is their ability to cover up,lie, make the victim the victim, callous, compassionless, uncaring,unGodly rumors, etc that leaves the damaged little children doubting"Jesus Loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so",against the workers and many times the parents,You are imagining these things, one day you will grow out of it,we won't talk about these things will we,etc. MMMM a comparison.. FOR THE BIBLE ALSO TELLS THE CHURCH SO? 1,Timothy 5,v,19-22.Was this an acted as instructed at the Tasmanian meeting? And did David Leitch chair it,if so,those verses of Timothy would be ignored,as he hurt and offended so many victims of criminal paedophile Ernie Barry by getting his jail sentence suspended with "YOUR"donation money, even 2x2s are saying why??? Of course not,as they would say we did not go there "For the sake of the Kingdom". 19+,Do not listen to an accusation against an Elder, unless it is brought by 2 or more witnesses(Hebrew Law in Jesus/Apostles era was a sole witness had no power, hence the witness of 2). REBUKE PUBLICLY "all" those who commit sins,so the"rest" might be afraid. In the presence of God and Christ Jesus and of the Holy Angels I solemnly "CALL UPON Y.O.U (YOU)to obey these instructions without "SHOWING any PREJUDICE"or"FAVOUR"to"ANYONE"in anything you do.(NOW THE NEXT VERSE Re-ORDAINING A NEW MINISTRY WORKER). BE in "no hurry" to lay hands on someone to dedicate them to the Lord's Service. Take NO PART in the sins of others, keep yourself pure. PS, Powerful?? Yes but accept the Deity of God's(Holy)Spirit, embrace Him,and your/our weakness's will fade away. Has Leitch been publicly challenged over the suspending the child CSA Barry's jail sentence? WHY IF NOT???

When the Vic/Tas worker Ernie Barry was convicted of CSA against one very young victim on a Victorian convention ground, a support group of Victorian friends was set up for the numerous victims of CSA and SA by EB and by other workers.
Victorian workers dismissed the efforts of this support group at the time, and refused any assistance despite offers in good faith.
The 18 August 2023 letter by Australia/NZ overseers (minus WA) states in part: "Since we last wrote to you, work has commenced to develop a standard policy and approach towards child sexual abuse prevention and survivor support. An advisory group consisting of 16 individuals from Australia and New Zealand has been formed to undertake this work. This advisory group includes members with lived experience of child sexual abuse and those who have supported survivors. It includes members with experience in child safety and protection, child safe compliance, vulnerable persons advocacy, psychology, counseling, and mental health. Several members hold professional roles including in risk avoidance and quality compliance, policy development and corporate governance. The group includes ten females, three workers, elders, and elders’ wives."
The current overseers state "This advisory group includes members with lived experience of child sexual abuse and those who have supported survivors". Amongst those who have supported the literally dozens of CSA (and SA) victim/survivors of both workers and friends in Victoria/Tasmania, there must be a wealth of "lived experience" which would be useful to this Group of 16. Is it being tapped into?
The overseers also state "Several members hold professional roles including in risk avoidance and quality compliance, policy development and corporate governance." As if buzz concepts like "risk avoidance", "quality compliance" and "corporate governance" are going to fix things.

Here is something else that should be brought to the "Attention" of Vic/Tas friends (and other states including WA and of course, NZ): Atcheson, Hassett and Afleck were all buddies before going into the work. Afleck BC overseer, Hassett Alberta overseer, Acheson, Saskatchewan Overseer. Afleck just allowed a worker from India that had allegations against him into Duncan and Salmon Arm conventions. Olympia did some checking before allowing workers on the grounds and found allegations and refused him entry and sent him back to India. Now Afleck claims he knew nothing about these allegations. And, maybe he didn't. But if he'd done the same thing as Olympia convention did he would have found them. They didn't just happen overnight. But it's obvious he's not vetting who is allowed on the grounds of his conventions in BC. Has to claim ignorance of such because if he knew, which he may have, then he just continued to help hide allegations so that he could have them speak. It's not the first time he has protected his staff. I wonder what reception Atcheson would get if people in Australia and New Zealand, where he is attending conventions shortly, knew of the part he played in covering up and brushing off the sex crimes of his fellow Saskatchewan brother workers.Presumably the Group of 16 will be bringing this information to the attention of all in Aust/NZ?

I agree this sort of terminology sounds like a cover up to me An advisory group with 3 workers to provide advice to overseers doesn’t sound very transparent and impartial I wonder if our resident NZ worker Mr Studies is one of the three😀

The good ship “truth” will continue to sail on with the news of an overseas speaker being a major attraction! The friends in Oz are hesitant to speak out about these things……not like our USA friends 😀

And we trust this advisory Group of 16 (G16) is considering the practical, financial and spiritual needs of the victim/survivors who are being supported by the support groups in Vic/Tas, NSW and elsewhere.
