Yes the name was Greenhaven, there was a long gravel drive on LH side of house and boathouse nearly opposite on the beach. I think the place was closer to West Rosebud than Rosebud .

I wish to refer to a thread on the main board. This thread emulates from an parliamentary inquiry which will be held, primarily against CSA in the Roman Catholic Church, into CSA in organisations and religious groups.
Any credibility I may have ever had in the writings of Cherie Kropp was completely destroyed with her post on that thread. [removed personal attack on Cherie]
I am really lost for words in describing the hurt that will emanate from such suggestions to the family, friends and relatives of those children. Those people do not need to be reviled by the likes of that woman.
Personal attacks on Cherie or any other person will not be tolerated here, no matter what authority the poster imagines they have. Rules: 1 No personal attacks, insults or threats.

Those of us who know Cherie, know her as a kind, compassionate, caring lady. The 2x2 mind always uses the defence that everything outside their thinking is evil.

I don't mind if you remove my post.
Redback I do not attend any meetings so my mind set is not that of a professing person.
I just get so angry when people make suggestions which are totally unfounded about a very sad and horrific event.
The parents and family do not need to be reminded of the tragedy in this way.
I believe that the lady suggesting the matter is making a personal attack on the family.
Please try to understand this issue from the family's point of view.
Scott i will pm you on this matter.

Scott,
I have spoken to you on this very subject before. I have your email address.
May I say, I consider such unfounded remarks are personal attacks on the family and all reference to remarks such on the subject should be deleted from this board.
You agreed with me on this matter before, have you changed your mind?

You agreed with me on this matter before, have you changed your mind? Nope. I had forgotten that we had discussed this previously until the reminder actually. However, Cherie contacted me and told me it was fine to delete that post. I think that I have taken care of the original reference, plus any subsequent quotes of that post.

Think we all need to be careful of others feelings. ON Truth Mtg Board thread abou 2x2 name offensive. I used to feel this way. It made me cringe. Now I think its hilarious that mtgs in an Australian state (not TAS) are referred to as 2x2 meetings in the local newspaper. So the workers in that state are calling themselves 2x2s.

I want apologize for an earlier post I made (which has been removed) that upset and outraged some TMB readers. In no way was my intention to attack the family, who I have never had any contact with. I truly thought that it might possibly help the family gain closure.
My post came out of my personal point of view: that if my children had done the same, I would have been asking “Why why why?” all my life and would have wanted to know – no matter how painful, until something made sense.
However, I now realize that was just my limited POV, and I don’t know anything about the circumstances or views of the family, and I sincerely regret that I ever made that post. If I could relive this past week over again, I assure you: I would not make that post.
I have some dear friends whose 31 yr old son was killed last year in a one car accident (his auto). He was a good driver, didn’t speed, etc. He entered the freeway from an access ramp, going fairly slow--yet his car left the road suddenly, rolled over and he died. There were no other cars around. I know how the parents grieved, fretted and stewed and revisited the accident scene. Why Why Why? What caused him to leave the road? Later the son came to the mother in a dream and said, “Mom, I was trying to buckle my seat belt.” Now THAT made sense to them – as he frequently forgot to buckle his seat belt, and they often reminded him about it. The family relaxed. The WHY was finally answered for them; THAT made sense to them as the real reason he lost control of his vehicle.
Realizing that my post could possibly cause additional pain to the family, I asked Scott to remove all traces of it from TMB, which he did. Thank you, Scott. I certainly would never intentionally bring additional pain to the family who unexpectedly experienced the loss of 2 children. I myself have 2 children—and I can empathize and sympathize, but I realize my feelings are not necessarily representative of others feelings.
Again, I really regret ever making the post and I’m very sorry that I did so.
Sincerely,
Cherie Kropp

We all make mistakes and I am sure as Cherie has stated that she did not mean anything hurtful in her post even though it may have sounded that way. She shows that she continues to be the person of integrity that she has always been by her previous post and is genuinely deeply sorrowful for any hurt that she has caused.

Redback is asking is it right that Jack Phillips passed away recently. I had heard this was so, and he was 96 years. Anyone with any more info please.

It seems the S.A. workers list is hard to come by, possibly due to the change.

I now have the SA List. I am mortified of all that has been spoken on here of Steve Schultz and the worker that drove him back to VIC. And those who have been covering up and hiding CSA. I have been wondering what has happened to Steve? Is he still allowed to profess? Or is it just that he has been kicked out of the work? All I can say that if the Truth church is the only way and made up from gods word then why has man made all the rules? We hear that all that man has made will come to naught, then does this mean the Truth?? Cause as far as I am concerned man has made this cult. I have learnt that they, the 2x2's can not be trusted at all costs. They all have there own agenda. Steve and other workers that are decent and know CSA issues should proceed to the police, not the head workers of there state. As they will continue to cover up and pay off people. I have a question? If you know something, can you ring crime stoppers or is there a set number for this?

Hi Summer Rose It certainly is possible to ring Crimestoppers to report any crime (including old crimes). The phone number is: 1800 333 000 Alternatively you can make an online report: m.crimestoppers.com.au/

As they will continue to cover up and pay off people. That's serious if people are being offered money to shut up. I think we would all agree that there's a lot of good people in the church. The good people should demand moral clarity from the leadership otherwise the whole fellowship will be tarred with the same brush. If those who've committed gross crimes are truly repentant they'll acknowledge their error for the sake of their victims' healing, and to encourage a turning towards righteousness in the church. Even if they are old and nearing the end of their time in the ministry, its not too late to repent and do the right thing.

The Mouse is back. Hi Spiderman. Dont think DL in Tassie yet. Afriend of a friend told the leetle mouse that Bernard was heading south for a mtg of the friends. Someone suggested DL here to "straighten us out". Yikes the curl will be gone from the end of my tail!!!!! Probably a good idea if he stayed in Vic at the moment. Or maybe he's doin a runner. Royal Commission coming up.
