Because Jesus said so! ONE fold and His fold ONLY. Do you read of any other group or churches/40,000 plus Christianity denominations like we have today in the First Century church of Jesus and the apostles New Testament ministry and fellowship? I asked Wally that because he stated that 'united you stand, divided you fall'. And the 2x2 group prides themselves on being divided. Therefore the question. I can't believe that Jesus is happy with a group that says they are the only way to heaven, that divides itself, is very secretive from the rest of the world etc. He said don't hide your light, place it in a high place for the world to see, but the Workers teach the exact opposite. They hide the group from the world not welcoming those who would like to know about the group etc. So why is Wally part of a group that is so divided from all the other Christians? I agree , Jesus is not happy with all the division in human groups . I suppose part of the reason wally is part of the 2x2 because that is his”heritage “. I think we are all part of particular “groups “ , divided and “haywire” as they might be , because of circumstances and experiences and culture etc etc . Also , in Wally’s “defence” , he is not in total agreement with the exclusivity aspect of the 2x2 etc . We can all have a positive influence , whatever group we are in . Talked to a “motorcycle dude a while ago who is in a group of bikers with a BaD reputation , hoping he can be there as a positive influence . Classifying and judging people by the “group” they belong to is the culture that 2x2 taught us well, and not easy to “shake “ Alvin

It was mentioned in a sermon, that people have to always feel special better then others. It’s been the downfall of many secret societies, the Knights Templar, the Masons, the Illuminati, and now the 2x2s. The Masons? My husband is a Mason. What downfall happened to them? I don't know their history.

The 1st century church had many problems, even disagreement among the apostles, and church elders, teaching false doctrines, all kinds of immorality and sexual sins... Just like we/2×2 are having today! Jesus and Paul encouraged God' s people and servants to have the mind of Christ and to follow/obey His teachings, this is the ONLY WAY to bring ALL in Unity and Harmony with each others.

There will be no "groups" in Heaven Yes, we are told (Phil 3:20) that those who belong to Christ are citizens of heaven where the Saviour lives. No groups but simply those who He has chosen and who honour him as King. Jesus also told us in the last days (Matthew 24:5) that many would come claiming his name and saying they are the Christ. An ex worker who is professing said to me recently that this is exactly what most workers do - their claim to being the only right and true way/ministry is a very simple claim that only Christ can make. They are trying to take his place and claim his righteousness for themselves. As Jesus said, they will lead many astray which is exactly what has occurred. But thousands of professing folk around the world have seen through, and are seeing through, this deceit which is a wonderful thing.

I don't know their history. My father-in-law was a top degree Mason. And he never partook of the “secret society” that they have largely become. So I know some Masons are still in the group for the charitable works done by the Masons. However especially overseas they have gotten a name for their secret societal worships etc. To be honest I was shocked when I’d heard several people talking about it! I’m not sure that’s so if the US Masons . It’s like the Knights Templar were started as a very desirable helpful group but eventually ended up with a”secret society” behaviors that have given them a bad reputation. The Illuminati was as well! I’m not sure if all their secret society things that people say goes on but it has to do with underground things.

I knew of workers were asked to leave the ministry like Ira H. And Leslie W. And others that I know. The workers knew what Wally was up to with women and they asked him not to take parts until he has repented.

All sheep do not live on one farm. There are many farms and each one has a shepherd (pastor) to care for the flock. Some farms are more healthy than others but each one is still a farm. The same as there are many churches, many families, many schools or many of everything in this world. Who ever says my family is the only true family because we come from Adam and Eve and you don't. Or our school is the right one because we trace back to the first school and so on in every walk of life. Sone are healthier than others, bullying occurs in some but those churches who say that are the true one are just gasping at straws. It was mentioned in a sermon, that people have to always feel special better then others. It’s been the downfall of many secret societies, the Knights Templar, the Masons, the Illuminati, and now the 2x2s. Any who says they’re the only true church have to sooner or later realize that is a lie because the only true church is Jesus’ church which according to the Bible is presently scattered to the four corners of the earth. Even places that have never heard of the 2x2s. That fact that "people have to always feel special better then others" is what tribalism is about.
It was to separate the "them" from "us," In it's time it worked to help keep a group of people united as a survival mechanism amongst so many different groups of people.
It was also the cause of the multitude of religions within Christianity. It served a purpose to keep a people together but also was also the cause of the wars & the destruction of many OTHER people
Tribalism tends to be returning in the world today with the surge of nationalism rearing it's head once more. The problem with it today is that we simply can't afford that idea any more.
The whole world is so inter-connected today through so many different channels, -from communication, trade, transportation etc., -that are we just can't afford to act separately.
So many of the problems are world wide & need co-operation of everyone working together.

But the opposite happens. With all the things that they've been doing that wouldn't be viewed kindly by the 'world', I can understand why they hide. And anyone attending a Gospel Meeting sure don't get to see how the church works, what would be expected of them if they did profess. So yes, they definitely are secretive.

They were very open about it to the reporters.
10 yrs ago, a reporter asked me if she could interview the sisters workers. So, I talked to one of the overseers about it but he didn't like the attention. Well, I tried to give the workers another opportunity to share their belief and teachings to the people in their area.

The way the workers are doing thing now, is waiting for the friends to invite people to come to their meetings process are almost non-existence. So, the workers preaching to the friends and their children most of the time. They must find different avenue, methods to contact people so they can hear the gospel. The workers must get out of their comfort zone and do some volunteer work in the community so people in the KNOW who they are.

I actually agree with you here [/quote] I believe it needs to go deeper than just knowing who they are. They need to develop relationships with people so that there can be a mutual, respectful flow of feelings and beliefs. That can be very difficult for most workers, bearing in mind the doctrine of separation and 'only wayism' that saturates their belief system.

The ONLY Wayism can make many pastors and church members nervous and feel uneasy just like Jesus made the Pharisees and Sadducees very ANGRY and decided to KILL Him for teaching "I am the Way, the Truth and Life and NO man comes to the Father but through me." .The workers don't want to stir up the hornet wasp nests for sure.
Where I work, I can reach 100-1000s people... Once I spot that they are Christians then I share a little about Jesus and just give them a little at a time. I Don't want to push anything on them, once I see them don't want to hear it I pull it back. I few want to learn more and I was able to share more with them.

Used to be workers understood that getting a batch and living amongst the people was the best way of gaining interest. But then when the friends started having cars for the workers to keep all the time the workers got away from that. They don’t seem to like to have to go into a strange area and let themselves become known as humans. They seem to need to be coddled and worshipped by the friends all the time.

There will be no "groups" in Heaven *** hmmmm but In John 10 Jesus said MY sheep HEAR MY VOICE and they shall FOLLOW me and they shall NOT hear or follow the voice of stranger/false shepherds.
Jesus said there will be ONE FOLD and ONE shepherd. Jesus said to the apostles, Upon this church I will BUILD MY CHURCH! and the gates of HELL shall NOT prevail against it.
So, my question to you WHERE IS Jesus 1st century Church and ONE FOLD he is talking about, today? He said even the gates of HELL can't defeat it! So, where is that church. Today?
Did Jesus LIE to us? I don't think he did, So, WHERE can we find it? Blessed are the poor in spirit ,for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for their' sis the kingdom of heaven Blessed are ye,when men shall revile you ,and persecute you,and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake. Rejoice ,and be exceeding glad, for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. ye are the salt of the earth, but if the salt have lost its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is therefore good for nothing .....ye are the light of the world...a city that is set on a hill cannot be hid...
these are the words of Jesus

these are the words of Jesus These are the teachings of Jesus to the multitude who were listening to His preaching/teaching and eventually many of them became His apostles and followers in the New Testament church/assembly of believers. When they are born again they are indeed the MOST blessed people on earth.

We couldn't relax and be ourselves with the workers around. We felt judged. We dressed in clothes we wouldn't normally wear. Didn't do things we would normally do. And had to hide the television! To me, the workers are like the Pope. It's hard to relate to experiences you have never had. How can they give advice when they don't know the struggles of everyday life, paying bills and managing a household, marriage, and raising children? The workers have all their needs met. Not saying their lives are not a struggle. Pointing out their experiences are not the same.

Not saying their lives are not a struggle. Pointing out their experiences are not the same. Well, ALL of our experiences with the workers can be different it depends which workers you had in your homes! I love to be with the workers before and after we professed. On the island of Guam we had ONLY two workers and they stayed in the home of the friends. We see them almost EVERY DAY! They spent a lot of time with us college students, going to McDonald after the Bible College studies. The younger worker played sports with us. We could ask the workers any questions and they answered us gladly.
After left Guam and came to United States I was very disappointed I hardly know the workers, and they don't around very often to see us, some of them are NOT so friendly or you don't want to around with any time. Well, I am so glad I had good experiences with the workers on Guam.
When I became a worker, I wanted to show the same kind of caring, compassionate like I had received and the friends children and their parents LOVE to see us when we come and STAY with them. My older companion visited with the parents and I play games with the kids. After I left the work the children grown up as adults and they told us how much they appreciated me spending time with them and made it so fun. Some of these kids now are church elders in Portland, and I attend their homes meetings and we still talk about those fun times we had together.
We had many problems in the filed I was at, because of our caring, shepherds spirits they shared with us their struggles, feelings and my older companions allowed me to get involved in the decision making. The friends saw the unity and harmony of us working together they appreciate and receive much comfort. When they see we are good shepherds all of our needs were met, and had plenty of money for ourselves so we give it to other workers, or those in needs.

It is therefore good for nothing .....ye are the light of the world...a city that is set on a hill cannot be hid...
these are the words of Jesus These are the teachings of Jesus to the multitude who were listening to His preaching/teaching and eventually many of them became His apostles and followers in the New Testament church/assembly of believers. When they are born again they are indeed the MOST blessed people on earth.
Nathan, why do you keep making things up? where did Jesus say there will be one fold and one shepherd

]The workers stay with the friends are so awesome, I love it when I was in the work. It helps and strengthen and create greater bond between the shepherds and the sheep. The friends get to KNOW the workers and the workers get to KNOW them in personal level, when problems arise the friends trust the workers to stand by them and the workers be gladly to stand by to help them in their needs. When the workers have their own batch, apartments or a place of their own. They don't feel close to the friends and they don't need the friends that much. Wasn't my observation growing up. Unfortunately that is the experience of a lot of people having worker visits. It's not always that way, of course, but people who have not had these kinds of visiting experiences would be wise to recognize and acknowledge that this is the experience of a GREAT number of their "brothers and sisters". Such visits weren't all that bad while I was growing up, but I certainly knew that I was more fortunate that a lot of others.
