LOL You are the entitled to your faith. I like to have some facts backing up things up. I have been there done that and you never know. It could happen to you some day too. I had an awesome life changing experience. It was just like in the Bible. The peril was an illusion of the flesh. Got a lot of monkeys off my back, Got some fresh air, and a new start. I highly recommend seeking the Truth with your hands off the steering wheel. (figuratively speaking of course) Its a story with a happy ending...for me! I said YES to Jesus
Why are sure that what happened was not really yourself starting to use the common sense knowledge that you already had and you started using it to straighten out yourself?
My own "awesome life changing experience" came about BECAUSE I realized had allowed a religious notion to be in the driver seat!
I began to realize that my ideas were only illusions with no more substance to them than a gossamer web of ancient ideas left over from of a people who did not know how themselves or their environment really worked.

Really glad it's working out for you. What I am doing is working out for me too. We're good! All the best to you.

I've been listening to a famous minister and he says we crucify Jesus again every time we sin and that we're driving nails in his hands all over again each time we sin. I am sincere about this question, because I know I'm a sinner. Really I think I'll rephrase my question to " .., Am I recrucifying Christ each time I sin ..?" Inatead of 'us' and 'we'. I just can't buy into this minister's statement. I mean ... Christ died for my sins. He suffered miserably for my sins ... I can agree that I should not continue to sin; but, I,can't agree I'm recrucifying him. Wonder what the truth is about this? No you do not crucify Jesus Christ every time you sin. But as a Christian, the minister is explaining that you became the killer when you agree to and accept that He is guilty of your sins, and must die in your place for them. Every time you accept your absolution by this method, you have a hand in His crucifixion. It is probably not easily explainable to Christians that they are false accusers, And must knowingly agree to a wrongful death in order to save their own souls. The truth is, the minister may understand the implications of Christian doctrine, but Imo you understand the truth. If I may quote you with some editing '...I know I'm a sinner. I can agree that I should not continue to sin; but, I, can't agree [to] recrucifying him.' Neither will I. If God wants to sacrifice his son to atone for his garden of Eden, imperfect creation, original sin screw up. Well, he should.
