Well all the rest of them I listed said they were Gods so your God is just one of many Gods that say they are Gods and because they say they are Gods then they are Gods? Buddha at least was honest. ** Jesus was Honest too! And he was telling the truth... There is no God beside the Godhead- Father, Christ and Holy Spirit. Jesus never said he was a God. So in that way he was honest. But just because he said that he worshiped the only true God does not mean he knew the truth. Again, the only reason why people believe what Jesus said was true is because Jesus said it was true. No different from all those who claim to worship a true God or claim to be the only true God. All we have is 'their' word saying it and many thousands of Gods have said the same thing. Does it make sense to believe they are telling the truth merely because they said it was the truth? I say that is not the way we find proof. Anyone can say they are right, merely because they say they are right. But as we all know, that doesn't prove in any way that they are right, just that they think they are.

Snow is right to say that you cannot come to a conclusion that any belief system is true or false. We must remember that all belief systems start because of an illusion in somebodies mind. Because it is an illusion, not real, and doesn't exist, it is a complete falsehood to say it is either true or false. No judgement can be made. The true, false line was just a sales pitch for preachers to push their own brand of religion. Did have good results 100 years ago, but people are more savvy now, they will not buy it, nor should they.

Nathan, you are entitled to your beliefs, just as we are to ours. But always remember they are only beliefs, not as important as the real thing, life itself, and what creation has given us to enjoy. That is what we should focus on more than religion. So don't get caught up in a true, false argument about beliefs. Each to their own, it really doesn't matter.
I will always remember what my best mate Dad, told me when he was on his death bed. "Bobbie, the things that seemed to be so important, are not important now".

Well, I try to back up my belief with Scriptures or the words and teaching of Jesus, my God and Savior. Christ came down from heaven and lived in a body of man, he died to save sinners, and rose again to live forever more like before He was in heaven with the Father, and the Holy Spirit...
To you atheists, these things are NOT important but they are our HOPE and SALVATION, one day we will be like the Godhead that live for ever and ever. No more sufferings, pains, or death.
If you think after you die, you will be put out like the candle that is your choice, that's NOT how I and many Christians believe it. Everyone will give an answer to the Creators, God the Father and Christ what have we done with the life they have loaned it to us? Why, didn't we accept the gift of Salvation from Jesus who died for our sins, so we can receive Eternal life?

I've been listening to a famous minister and he says we crucify Jesus again every time we sin and that we're driving nails in his hands all over again each time we sin. I am sincere about this question, because I know I'm a sinner. Really I think I'll rephrase my question to " .., Am I recrucifying Christ each time I sin ..?" Inatead of 'us' and 'we'. I just can't buy into this minister's statement. I mean ... Christ died for my sins. He suffered miserably for my sins ... I can agree that I should not continue to sin; but, I,can't agree I'm recrucifying him. Wonder what the truth is about this? Hebrews 6:4-6. For it is impossible for those who were "once enlightened", and have "tasted of the heavenly gift", and were made "partakers of the Holy Ghost". And have tasted the "good word of God", and the powers of the "world to come". If they fall away, to renew them again to repentance: "Seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh," and put him to open shame. Here's a where a purposefully sinful deed gets one in trouble and yet they haven't fallen away as it speaks about in chapter 6. Hebrews 11:26-27. For IF we Sin Wilfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there "remaineth NO MORE sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. Another time when one can get turned away if one is nit watching and praying for the Masters return... Luke 12:46. The Lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint "his portion with the unbelievers."

When thinking about people who have turned away from the benefits of being God's children, I think about this words that was Said about those in the Bible that turned away from the God of eternity . I think it was said a couple of times. Jesus said about this turning away that "they considered themselves unworthy.". Then I think it was Paul pretty much said the same thing about people turning away from God in the terms of "considering themselves unworthy."

That is the reason that you believe such things when there really have no evidence for their being. It is easy to fool ourselves if the "reward" is high enough.

More like we see the charade behind the story, -like finally seeing the real "Wizard of Oz."
"When Dorothy and her friends meet the Wizard of Oz again, Toto tips over a screen in a corner of the throne room that reveals the Wizard.
He sadly explains he is a humbug—an ordinary old man who, by a hot air balloon, came to Oz long ago from Omaha.
The Wizard provides the Scarecrow with a head full of bran, pins, and needles ("a lot of bran-new brains"), the Tin Woodman with a silk heart stuffed with sawdust, and the Cowardly Lion a potion of "courage". Their faith in the Wizard's power gives these items a focus for their desires."

You said yourself that it is your "HOPE and SALVATION, one day we will be like the Godhead that live for ever and ever. No more sufferings, pains, or death."
Are you really caring anything about "evidence," or aren't you really concerned with a "reward?"

Marvelous, how do I convert? I must have been terribly sinful. A worker took my cat, put him in a gunny sack and dropped him in the river. I have no idea why? The father and brother of one of my friends recently owned up to doing that to the kittens that kept arriving. I'm sure there are other choices they could have made, however I can understand why they did it. Cats kill local fauna and leave diseased feces in neighbours' gardens for their unsuspecting children to pick up and eat or walk in etc. My own family left domestic cats alone but ferals were fair game.

I'm sure there are more humane methods of killing cats, however I can understand why they did it. I understand.
But for a small fee you can nip the bud at the head by getting the cats rendered unproductive. In our area there are groups that provide the service at a much reduced cost.
That is what my neighbor & I did to the poor mother cat and her last offspring which she had abandoned in our garage because she was pregnant again. If we could have found the father of the bunch we would have done the same for him.
They both are victims of their biology and cannot help what they do and their offspring also suffer the consequences as well.

All that matters is reality. Not what we wish might be true. Belief is just belief, not necessarily reality. In the end it doesn't matter if you wanted to believe you are going to heaven, if no heaven exists. And if there is life after death, it makes no difference if atheists think there is nothing. Reality is what it is and it doesn't care one bit what we wish or want.
