You defend the sins of the amalakites ‘? maybe Samson understands what your defense leads to? You are defending the Hebrews for what they did. You try to justify genocide because your god ordered it. But there is no justification for their actions even though they would like to say their God ordered it. Why would you worship a god that thinks genocide is justified? i think it’s futile to blame the Hebrews for Gods reaction to the sins of the amalakites! End of story

I’m not interested in defending the wickedness of the sinful, and they still refuse to repent, I think it’s sad that anyone defends the guilty, when they refuse to repent.

I think it's futile to believe in God period. End of Story. but His miracles will be remembered forevermore! 🙂 No more than the miracles of Thor, Zeus and his gang are remembered. Christianity is just the religion that's in vogue right now. It will fade away in time and something else will replace it just like the older religions that have faded away over time. Hopefully the next religion that comes into Vogue will be a loving and kind religion instead of one based on so much death, punishment and violence. But what can you hope for when you worship a God of War.

End of Story. but His miracles will be remembered forevermore! 🙂 Julius Streicher (ill fated Nazi /hollocaust infamy) Can be long remember by his infamous analogy of the : (Nazi hollocaust, : Purim 1946 ) Not exactly how anyone would want to be remembered, imo

Then why do you defend the Hebrew God Yahweh if you don't like to defend those who are guilty of genocide? So who do you think commuted genocide, your logic? Since I don't believe in gods, I will say that the God that's written about in the bible committed genocide or ordered it from the Hebrew people. The flood story is a genocide story, if it were true. The Amelikite story is a genocide story that was ordered by that same God. Of course it's just a story of a middle eastern tribe that wanted to destroy their enemies and decided to justify it by saying it was an order from their god of war, Yahweh.

Ok, because of severe persecution, (and the German hollocaust) the world granted the Hebrew their own country, AND makes it unlawful to harbor an anti-Hebrew ideology.
Believe that is , correct me if I am mistaken.
Thanks

If committed, What does your bible say ?
1 Samuel 15:1-4 New International Version (NIV)
1 Samuel said to Saul, “I am the one the Lord sent to anoint you king over his people Israel; so listen now to the message from the Lord.
2 This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt.
3 Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them.
Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’”

PS: You also need to check your history concerning the creation of present day Israel.

I haven't read it, -but is a historical novel, so it is fictional literature.
It was quite the rave when first published.
How accurate it is can be debated.
Even Ben Gurion said this: “As a literary work, it isn’t much. But as a piece of propaganda, it’s the greatest thing ever written about Israel,” said Israel’s first Prime Minister David Ben Gurion.

IMO. , one of the biggest miracles that this world has e et witnessed,
is that the Hebrews have survived to this day , AND quite a few Hebrew will even still confess their genealogy, in spite of the persecution that they may receive for doing so. It is Truely a miracle ,
A very very sobering miracle, IMO

How self righteous are some people to think they have morals because they are Christian .... then they go one step further and think that only their "little group" (2x2's) have morals !

Believe that is , correct me if I am mistaken. Thanks When the holocaust occurred, many rabbis preached that it was divine punishment for things like the Enlightenment, Jewish assimilation, failure to keep the law, and even Zionism. Then, after the formation of the Jewish state, the "punishment" turned into a "divine plan". I guess when one stupid statement fails to comfort the mother who saw her child killed by the epitome of human darkness, holy men will try an equally stupid follow-up. This sort of confused moral nonsense on the part of their "spiritual leaders" has helped the majority of Jews to become secular, even in the Jewish state of Israel. It has also led to a disproportionate amount of Jewish contribution to politics, arts, sciences and economics. Maybe it was God's plan to develop secular Jews who can contribute something other than mindless religious drivel to society. In keeping with the game of making the conclusion fit the evidence, we must at least consider this an option.

Well yeah, you are starting to catch on ! Thank you! So, you are finally understanding that there was not a "god" telling them to kill everyone. (except the virgins of course)
Instead, they had created a "god" that would tell them it was ok to commit genocide!
I am so glad that you are finally "catching on!"

“Punishment” or “divine plan”. Wow, a sermon taken right from the story of Joseph being sold into slavery and sent to prison by a “divine plan”.
Aw, “you meant it for evil, but God (allowed it) for good! “
Joseph knew how to persevere in dark situations. Thanks for this reminder, ip.
