Denying evolution is how things came to their current state of being does not make sense and it shows that you have not studied it extensively. There is so much evidence that we have evolved that people who claim this in this day and age are not studying the evidence or listening to creationists that want people to believe what they want them to believe. There is no conflict in believing in God and knowing that we have evolved. Even the Catholic pope knows that. What use does it serve to deny what science has found to be true? Carl Sagan in this interview gave some good things for people to think about. www.collective-evolution.com/2013/12/19/carl-sagans-two-warnings-for-humanity-in-his-very-last-interview-you-might-want-to-hear-this/A few strange things with your statements, Snow. I should take the Pope's faith in evolution as scientific evidence that evolution is true? The pope - not a scientist, but a major religious figure? Do you really mean this? What has Science found to be true? Last time I checked, evolution has been more and more admitted to be a theory, with many holes, not "found to be true". Evidence points more to intelligent design. The further we look at life, the more complex we realise it is, far more complex than Darwin could ever have known. No insult to Darwin, he simply didn't have the tools at the time to begin to understand the complexity of a single cell.

If this post is representative of the last time you checked, then it must have a long time ago or in the wrong place.
Actually today's scientists sometime marvel about how the new discoveries about cells fit in with Darwin's basic theory of evolution.
Perhaps you aren't reading the right sources.
Try some scientific journals instead of Christian apologists sites.

No insult to Darwin, he simply didn't have the tools at the time to begin to understand the complexity of a single cell. First, no I don't expect you to see the Pope's understanding of evolution to mean you should believe it's true. It was an example of a person of some stature within Christianity that doesn't have a problem with it. Not all Christians have a problem with it. First of all the Theory of Evolution is not just a theory. It does have data supporting it. There is a difference between a theory little 't' and a Theory within science. Surely you have heard that before? I am sure you aren't trying to tell me the Theory of Gravity is just a theory and therefore not supportable? Intelligent design is just another attempt by Creationists to look a little more credible. Doesn't work though. Not teaching our children science and scientific reasoning is not a good way to go if we want to continue learning about the world we live in in the future.
