I am not as I see it... I hope you don't mind for me to jump in. Well, you sure have in the past. When someone jumped in you would post "Let _________ answer."

Then someone told me this board is free for anyone to answer! So I said OK... No problemo. Jump in anytime, Greg Lee. Someone? Well, you may have literally and verbally said "OK." If you posted your new understanding, then I missed it.

I thought ALL Christians were " Living Witnesses".

Yes, ALL true "born again" Christians are "LIVING witnessess" of Jesus. There has always been true Christians since the time of Jesus, through down the ages..... and today!
Nathan, why do you so blatantly distort the truth of your churches history? You know good and well what William Irvine's Living Witness Doctrine is, but instead of acknowledging it and dealing with it forthrightly, you choose instead to play word games. Does honesty and integrity mean nothing at all to you? Disgusting display.

believe it or not it is up to you. You're entitled to your own belief.
Thank you. I believe Irvine's Living Witness Doctrine was a false doctrine. I believe that you still embrace it.

Spiderman, Zorro, and Yellow,
I believe you're all Christians. (Sorry for the confusion: and glad you asked for clarification).
Nathan,
I said anyone could join in the conversation. And whether I ever say it (or not) I hope others will just "jump in" & "join in"--anytime I post anything: and on any thread.
And Greg Lee, you probably missed me saying it...because it's at the end of my tooo, tooo, long posting (cringe!). For which I still apologize...

Hi Nathan,
Do you believe that I am a true "born again" living witness of Jesus Christ?
And do you believe there are others like me, who are not in the f&w fellowship...even ones who never have been in it or even heard of it? And even those who have heard of it, but choose not to fellowship there?
I think you know what I'm getting at, brother. Please reply with clarity, Nathan. It will help reduce the ambiguity.
Blessings, Linda

believe it or not it is up to you. You're entitled to your own belief. This is one of many ways that Nathan concedes a point. Just like when he says "let the readers decide." It usually means he knows he lost the point so he prints things like this to divert your attention.

Linda, After knowing you for only a short time on this board I can only say.... With your insight and wonderful spirit how could you not be a born again believer in the Holy son of God?
Crikey I'm as thick as and I can see that.

I guess I already knew what Nathan's answer would be concerning me, but I wanted others to see that he does accept believers outside the f&w. However, I think he still believes that the f&w fellowship is the "right" fellowship. Is that correct Nathan? Blessings, Linda

No my friend, no one did. She was asking Nate if he considered her a fellow believer and witness in Christ. That was my way of reafirming with Linda that I consider her a Sister in Christ and that it must be evident to ALL my fellow f&w believers that it is so.

You know, sometimes, it just feels so good to know that others in God's family accept you as their sibling. Even with my excentricities, my differences, my wierdness ;D ... It fills my heart with joy to be part of God's family, and to enjoy relationships with all my brothers and sisters (cybersibs and otherwise)! Thanks again brother, BC Blessings, Linda

Nathan, you're doing it again... It is right for you, you say...but do you believe it is "God's right" fellowship? Is it THE one he desires his children to belong to? Nathan, you are my brother in Christ. But, I don't know, for sure if we agree or disagree about the "right fellowship" issue. I think you know what I'm asking, but you seem to avoid giving a clear answer. I don't understand why...except that maybe a few people here will get on your case over it! You can handle that, though. Blessings, Linda

Hi Nate,
Yes this is the right fellowship for me, I have in the past prayed that God would show me what he wanted for my life and where he wanted to lead me. I have always felt at peace and had an indescribable feeling of safety and security in Christ in my walk and fellowship. I have known many many times the sure knowledge that God is acting on my behalf and giving me strength beyond what I am capable of on my own through experiences. Until God shows me that the direction I which I walk is wrong then I will continue to fellowship with those I enjoy fellowship with.
Linda, To me it is like losing weight. You can choose to go it alone or maybe with a bunch of like minded people or you can follow a "denomination" such as Jenny Craig's. Which ever way you choose if you adhere to the teachings and discipline for weight loss then you will loose weight but it is always easier and more encouraging if you have folk you can interact with on the journey.

For all the people who are brow beating here... where is the fellowship that Jesus had and Paul and others that we read about in the New Test. had as in one body? It certainly is not amoungst those who are writing on this web site who are putting down a certain way of living. Where is the fellowship that all you people seemingly are declaring, but are not showing it here?

Thanks Nate, The Holy Spirit is what make the 2x2 church the right place for me to be too. And in the end, I think it's all up to the Holy Spirit...and what make's one place "right" for one--and another place "right' for another. So maybe one "has to" stay (with gladness): and another "has to" go (with gladness)...( ) All I really know is that an individual needs to have peace within themselves (and their conscience) toward God...and the Holy Spirit is very good at disturbing your peace...if He has a mind to...

Right now, the right place for me to worship/fellowship is one of the Pentecostal churches in my city, although I am always willing to go wherever God desires me to be for His plans and purposes. He has taken me to worship/fellowship with other denominations and non-denominations. Frequently, He gathers me together with a mixture of these (non)denominations. Like tomorrow night, I'll be meeting with people from many different churches to pray for transformation in our city. I'm looking forward to it...the prayer and the transformation!!
Blessings, Linda

where,
You sound upset/stressed out. Don't be. Most of the individuals on this site "know" each other, and know where each other stand. And know what to expect. And are prepared for the reactions they get.
We don't come here to have fellowship. We come here for discussion. Which includes arguing, debating, examining, and often having a bit of fun. (With everyone, believe it or not, actually liking each other. So, relax. There's no need for you to stress out.

Nate,
You asked me to respond if the F&W fellowship is the right place for me. My answer is yes-at this time. I have experience wonderful fellowship there and the friends in our area are great people. There are very few problems between them and they all love, respect and support each other.
However I am also very concerned about some of our doctrine and practices. “Anti-trinitarianism” and “onewayism” is very alive and well in our area and so to be perfectly honest I am very distressed by it all!
It always makes my day to know that “God’s family” is far greater than I once believed. I truly long for the day when all of the silly man made walls can be broken down and all Christians can have fellowship as one body. I believe that as trials and tribulations and the coming persecutions against Christians get worse that this will in fact happen.
Until then I want to keep my faith in Christ and Christ alone.
Love, HFA

Love, HFA Very good post "Hope for all" Don't get over being distressed about false teachings. Continue to seek the true God inspite of what you're hearing on a regular basis, about onewayism. To me that is the single most distructive doctrine the 2x2's teach. It's mind-warping. God's family is much larger than the William Irvine experiment (as he himself called it)
