Thats still occupation ( of leadership ). His word play is transparent IMO. Not in the strictest sense of the word. Occupations generally involve military personnel and equipment that is foreign. He will simply move Russian asset's out and use the Ukrainian people to do the dirty work to avoid the "occupation" accusations. Yes believe it or not some Ukrainians will back a puppet Gov't. Probably true, but couldn't Putin have achieved the same results by surreptitiously getting one of his own people set up as a puppet leader in Ukraine?

AK owners in the US may have to take a back seat while this is going on.

AK owners in the US may have to take a back seat while this is going on. A friend of mine, who taught at Jeff Cooper's Gunsite Academy, gave me a bunch of ammo, much of which I still have. So I'm ready for those Russians if they come over here.

He was likely made to wear it by Putin. No other choice like many of the Russian soldiers who are fighting Ukraine. They should have stripped him of his medal to give them a clear message that the world do not accept the war but then some of the judges were Russian.

I've got a case of 1000 rounds of steel ammo for my AK.. More importantly, when in grade school, we were drilled to take cover under our desk in the event of a nuclear attack Luckily, I still have a steel desk at home, so in case an atomic bomb hits my house, I'll be perfectly protected and safe

The leader was Viktor Yanukovych who was president for 4 years until he was ousted in 2014 in the popular uprising known as the "orange revolution". His policies were pretty much opposite to the previous president as he favoured very close ties with Russia. Every step of his political journey has been followed by accusations of corruption, vote rigging, campaign spending mismanagement, dodgy donors (any of this sound familiar?) etc etc. He is currently in exile in Russia.

She said it was Okay to share so I will this time:
From a Ukrainian worker:
My dear friends,
Today I want to send another update. There isn’t so much new to write, but I know you all are thinking of us and our friends over here. The news we read cause our hopes to rise and fall. It has been encouraging to read that the aggressor has underperformed and the Ukrainians and their army have exceeded all expectations. They are truly a patriotic people and they love their country. They are fighting for a cause. It is touching to see the videos of children singing in the bomb shelters, or others singing or playing the national anthem. It means to much to us to see how so many in so many parts of the world are thinking of us all and praying. Maybe some of the refugees in their distress will seek help for their soul. I talked with our overseer yesterday. He and a few of our staff and in Poland. He said they found a place to start Ukrainian gospel meetings in an area where there are a lot of refugees. The gospel meetings here in the city where we are, have been in an apartment that is rather small, so now we will have them in the home where we and the lady and her children from there are staying. They will be welcome to come listen or to stay in their room. If they do want to listen, I will try to interpret for them, but it isn’t easy for me to keep the languages straight. I was just getting back into the Romanian comfortably, when we came in touch with these folks and had to use Ukrainian and or Russian. The mother is trying to learn some Romanian and is doing well, but her daughter is very quick and sharp and learning quickly. I think she is about 13. Her sister-in-law and mother-in-law are professing, so the meetings are not foreign to them.
It seems all our friends and the native workers in Ukraine are okay. We are glad that we can still keep in touch with them through Viber. It seems that those that are in country areas or small towns are the safest for now. I think it means a lot to them to know that so many of you are thinking about them and praying for them. The relatives and neighbors of the friends where these folks are staying are so helpful. They bring food, clothes, toys, books, etc.
Our staff in exile is spread out a bit now and I can understand more and more how good it is to have someone out here that can communicate with these folks and help them. One of the sisters who has been on the Russian staff, Joyce W. is in Hungary now. It seems that most of the refugees that we have contact with are hoping to return home when things calm down.
We think of our friends in the lands east of here who are also alone now, as the workers have felt it wisest to leave. It is good to know that the Shepherd knows where all the lambs and sheep and He will care for them. We are thankful that we can still be united through the Spirit.
It is special for me to see these Romanian folks again. We spent the weekend in Constanta with a young couple with two children. I knew him when he was a young boy. Later he want out into the world and married an outsider. Recently he started to listen again. By the spirit in the home, I thought he is already professing, I but found out he is still listening. He is trying very hard to help his wife and children to understand, too. It seems she has quit going to her church.
Many folks are asking about sending help. There seems to be a good supply now, waiting to be used. Some has been sent to us personally as well as the fund that was set up. Maybe the needs will increase with time—we don’t know. We can let you know when there is more need, but for now Dan said you could send to humanitarian or medical sites. I looked online and there are a good number listed. The future is so unknown. If they take over the whole country, maybe more will be leaving and maybe there will be need for repairs of their homes. The older folks have lived under communism in the past and they know that they can survive and even thrive spiritually even when conditions are difficult.
I will stop here now, I wrote the letter carefully, so you can feel free to share it if you want.
With love and thanks, Sharon A
There was one more thing I wanted to say and I forgot. It is more difficult for many in the world now with the sanctions, etc. as we know that there are financial repercussions. Someone wrote or mentioned a thought recently which has stayed with me. During the reign of that evil king Ahab, Elijah prayed that there wouldn’t be rain for three years on the land. It was difficult for all, including him, but it was necessary to bring about the changes that were necessary. We know that these aren’t easy times for anyone but we hope that as a result there can be peace and liberty. S

www.google.com/amp/s/www.timesofisrael.com/us-official-warns-israel-dont-be-last-haven-for-dirty-money-fueling-putins-war/amp/US official warns Israel: ‘Don’t be last haven for dirty money fueling Putin’s war’ Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland calls on Israel to join Western sanctions, as Jerusalem's attempt to publicly stay in a neutral position becomes increasingly precarious. As Israel avoids imposing sanctions, flight traffic has suggested that some wealthy Russians are seeking refuge in Israel. Channel 12 reported Friday that in the last 10 days, 14 private jets that took off from St. Petersburg landed at Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport. Last week, the outlet reported that an unusual number of rented private jets have been flying from Russia to Israel since the invasion of Ukraine, a possible indication that some rich Russians are looking at ways to slip around sanctions.

Russia contains many autonomous republics. A good few of them are islamic and some even implement parts of sharia law. Chechnya, Ingushetia, Dagestan, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan etc. Approximately 10% of the population of Russia as such is muslim. The leaders of the islamist republics are largely sunni, the shia following parts of the ussr became Azerbaijan. Putin has actively wooed islamic countries and has stated that he sees the russian orthodox church as closer to islam than to the catholic church.

Russian Tactical Nuclear Weapon hardware is now in Ukraine, or on it's boarder.
