You can't walk around without a gun to protect yourself and hide it. Did the jews have faith when they carried swords?

This is full of debatable or ludicrous assertions. Typical Christian Apologia - those hungry for reassurance will lap it up without question. matisseopinion, period...

okay thanks for clearing that up....are you a believer in evolution? Well, “nothing is impossible...” but I do believe in mutation and species evolving within themselves. But Evolution as the answer to how we got here is a theory, and I’ll leave it at that. that would be adaptation and is more acceptable....

I am a person that has lived his life under the influence of science. Therefore, I can with confidence say when I call you a pig head fool it is not scientific it's an opinion. I'll keep it more simple you are just a fool...the bible talks about you here: Psa_14:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. and a bit later here for further clarification: Psa_53:1 To the chief Musician upon Mahalath, Maschil, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

The people who came before Wally invented science because his natural way of understanding and explaining what people experience is terrible. The natural tendency of when one believes in something, they rarely seek out evidence to the contrary to see how it matches up with their assumptions. That’s the source of Wallie's faith and superstitions.

Yes, I have low expectations of intellectual honesty from writers of Christian Apologia. IMO, they have no reason to be intellectually honest; their followers tend to be believers who won't question what the apologist writes if it props up their belief.

Is quoting scripture the only tool in your shed? Hymn 281 covers that: I need no book by Thine own word, Nor can the thoughts of men afford, A light to be my guide And who do you think the Thine is referencing? Do you know the verse from the Surah 112? "God the one, God the Eternal, He did not beget, and was not begotten." Considering how many people follow the Surah vs. those that follow the New Testament, which is correct?

IMO, understanding science and how it works is part of being a literate human being. cop out This is not a cop out- it is exactly how science as a method works. I start my Philosophy of Science course highlighting this concept. Science is rich with examples of the "first explanation" being only vaguely accurate, and full of errors. It's a human made method of finding natural explanations for natural phenomena.

** You are crazy. In his old age Timothy and his followers had been the scribes to write letters for him to different churches, because his eyes sight were deterioting. what old age? what's your source? Together, all of the elements of the letters attributed to Paul Some of them point to the conclusion that the author wrote these letters after the lifetime of Paul. He reaches back in time to the figure of Paul in order to validate the teachings given to the community of faith in his own time. The figures of Timothy and Titus represent the leaders in the communities of faith in this later period. ** You need to do your own research to find out! I did it and the answers can be found in the epistles of Paul.

Paul was born in the Greek city of Tarsus likely around AD 6, and he probably died sometime around AD 64, which means he would have been nearing age 60. Do you call 60 old age? On second thought you may be right. Just because we don't think of 60 as old age today doesn't mean in the first century that they didn't think that was old age. Yes your correct I need to do some research. Thanks for reminding me. So tell me this in those day at what age do you think eye sight was diminished?

Science is rich with examples of the "first explanation" being only vaguely accurate, and full of errors. It's a human made method of finding natural explanations for natural phenomena. If a christian were to say OOPS they would get a much different response than if a scientist says OOPS going by the rather lame excuse above, therein lies a problem...

He was beaten and whipped 3 times, almost die by stoning, and drowning in the sea during a shipwreck. Paul's own body took a lot of physical abused more than he could handle. He wrote the epistles that his own followers would have given their eyes sight so he could see so it was Timothy who help him to write different letters to the churches.

He wrote the epistles that his own followers would have given their eyes sight so he could see so it was Timothy who help him to write different letters to the churches. John Squires along with many others say: "Whilst Paul’s authentic letters reflect the dynamic nature of the community of faith, the three Pastoral Letters (1 Timothy, 2 Timothy and Titus) reflect a move towards a more developed organisational structure. They point towards the institutionalized church of the second century and beyond, in which the way of Jesus would become determined by the authority of the apostle and his local representative, the bishop. Each of these letters follows the standard formula for a letter from Paul, and they each identify only Paul as the author (1 Tim 1:1; 2 Tim 1:1; Tit 1:1). And yet, the format of the letters and the distinctive vocabulary used throws doubt on the claim that Paul was the author. Whilst they each have a traditional framework for a letter, the body of the letters often read more like a sermon or a moral treatise. Over one third of the words found in these three letters are not found in the authentic letters of Paul. Many words found frequently in the authentic letters do not appear anywhere in these three letters. In addition, the situations addressed, the theology of the letters and the ecclesial structures envisaged reflect many differences between each of these three letters and the seven authentic letters of Paul."
