Yeah, jesus was such an alcoholic that he turned his water into wine. Have you ever considered that water would have done perfectly fine? ever heard of what happens when a party runs out of alcohol? My sisters 2x2 wedding did fine without it, as would the very important occasion nathan mentioned too. Making excuses for alcoholism isint cool, regardless of who it is.

Have you ever considered that water would have done perfectly fine? ** It was a very important wedding of Mary the mother of Jesus cousins and they ran out of wine in the middle of the celebration. Jesus mother knew he could help with the situation by performing a minor miracle to turn water into wine to keep the guests at wedding happy. It would be a very SAD wedding for the bride and groom if they had served water for the rest of night wedding feast wouldn't you say? Tell that to my sister that had 2x2 will forced on her SAD wedding day. F@#king bunch of hypocrites.

ever heard of what happens when a party runs out of alcohol? My sisters 2x2 wedding did fine without it, as would the very important occasion nathan mentioned too. Making excuses for alcoholism isint cool, regardless of who it is. Jesus drank wine; and the Pharisees call him a drunkard.... Does that mean Jesus was an alcoholic? What you call an alcoholic in your country isn't so in other places like those in Jesus days or in Europeans countries.
They served wine in the last supper and Jesus told them ALL of you drink it. Were they all alcoholics? In many places, countries around the world they serve meals, with bread and wine for the emblems tradition for centuries!
I Cor. 11:20-26 So then, when you come together, it is not the Lord’s Supper you eat, for when you are eating, some of you go ahead with your own private suppers. As a result, one person remains hungry and another gets drunk. Don’t you have homes to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God by humiliating those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you? Certainly not in this matter! For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.~~~ Moderation is the KEY!

I used to really annoy me when those sorts of things happened. I blamed those that couldn't/wouldn't stand up to the workers in those cases, as much as the workers themselves.
Fortunately, those days have pretty much gone.

Making excuses for alcoholism isint cool, regardless of who it is. You have two different cultures and the time is about 2000 years apart. Wine was a tradition back in the days of Jesus... If Jesus were here today he would NOT change water into wine at the wedding or drinking wine while in America, or any countries NOT encourage under age of 21 to drink wine.

Which is dumb, because one of the messages in Jesus being "Invited" to the wedding is, if your invited to a party take the Character of Christ along......and the meddling 2x2's is putting the purifying water(fig leaves/covering) over and above the celebration. This is displayed by the confession that when the sugar coating(fig leaves) runs out all they can dish up is sh*t wine. They can't celebrate that way therfore no one else should be allowed to either.....

You dont believe in father /son and holy spirit? While I attended we heard more on Paul than Christ and the holy spirit was referred to as the spirit If "believe" comes down to a bunch of words on a post what does that mean?. The only way that could be answered was if you observed my life........and I do not mean my religious performance. One of the problems is there is no statement of faith That is where the confusion sets in People ask questions workers often cannot answer I remember asking what happens when we die? I was a young adult the worker a relative. My ex husband asked loads of questions and all they ever said we dont need to know. He wasn't being a smart butt.. nor trying to make then feel uncomfortable

Faith to these people seemed to be always grounded in something, to Christianity faith is something that cannot be grounded in our reality today unless you can point me to any miracles, ascension ressurection that I've missed of late. If it can't happen today, it definitely didn't happen back then so what are you actually having faith in?...

As for me My faith is in the power of my God Ive proved him over many yrs to be faithful when I am not To be comforting and he does lead me there is no doubt about that. the word says he is the comforter that leads and guides us into all truth. Belief is a powerful substance in our minds. Our soul is mind will emotions then linked to the spirit within us via the physical heart we have a responsive working mechanism of the human. 3 bodies I believe for miracle's bz he is the god of the impossible. I dont have faith in miracles. My faith is in his power

I have a problem with alcoholism, I often find I go months without a drop and just can't seem to force myself to take a drop.

Just to clarify, verbal abuse is the use of words to cause harm to the person being spoken to. Verbal abuse may consist of shouting, insulting, intimidating, threatening, shaming, demeaning, or derogatory language, among other forms of communication. Do you think Jesus verbal abused the Pharisees in Matthew 24 the whole chapters of shaming, demeaning, derogatory, insulting to them? Was Jesus/God right for verbal abusing the Pharisees, telling the truth about them.

Religious abuse is abuse administered under the guise of religion, including harassment or humiliation, which may result in psychological trauma. Religious abuse may also include misuse of religion for selfish, secular, or ideological ends such as the abuse of a clerical position.
