it is kind of a fine line though between gossip, tattletales and real concern... Yes, I believe it was more of a concern where some of them were headed in the WRONG Path and their Salvation was on the danger zone. They were indeed brothers' keepers because they care for their brothers and sisters in Christ souls.

OK, sounds like you guys have got a lid on it. Although from here it looks like your heads are so far up your own A$$e$ that there nowhere left for the sun to shine out of. Looks like you are so self righteous that you find the need to be nasty and denigrate people, how miserable. Self righteous??? Wow, thats the most impressive case of pot kettle black i think I've ever seen. Self righteous, we don't need to train our workers because somehow we're above that kind of thing, because God. This morning I saw a group of postmen on scooters receiving training out in the field & thought of this thread, training is given to folk in all kinds of menial employment in order for them to give their best, but not you guys, no, you're a special kind of special. If head up a$$ isint the correct interpretation of that then set me straight on the folly of my ways. Denigrating someone would be to stand someone in front of a room full of silent & expectant people with zero training & expect them to handle that like a pro. Can't you see I've actually got the workers backs here? Clearly none of you self righteous bigots are going to go in to bat for them.

Telling people that they are destined for Hell, is not the way to win friends and have influence in their lives. Compassion and understanding is the better way. Compassion is to recognize the suffering of others and then take action to help. Compassion embodies a tangible expression of love for those who are suffering. I watched a documentary on Billy Graham yesterday. From what I saw, he didn't preach fire and brimstone but forgiveness and love. A very effective message.

I watched a documentary on Billy Graham yesterday. From what I saw, he didn't preach fire and brimstone but forgiveness and love. A very effective message. A little study of the preaching of the gospel in the Bible tells us that the two key ingredients are: 1) A dire warning......call it fire and brimstone or whatever. 2) A message of hope. Most preachers nowadays avoid the former and sugar coat the latter, preaching therefore that which is foreign to Christ.

I haven't posted on here in a long, long time. I suggest a marketing course among other courses. Perhaps there could be some new skills learned on how to reach your market. I've suggested social media, but that was quickly rejected.

We were told that Billy Graham was evil etc when I was a kid. I found out why recently when I switched on the TV & discovered that one of our very senior workers was emulating him, and was repeating him, virtually word for word. Clearly he had discovered a convenient source of material, and a way to prevent anyone of us from discovering that source.

He became the world's most famous preacher in about 1950, died in 2018. By contrast, each time the ministry as a majority starts aggressively preaching hellfire, there is à new period of history termed a 'Great Awakening' where church membership explodes. It worked 3 successive times in the USA before Billy landed on the scene! Humans respond very obediently and well when you threaten them with torture. Jesus was an absolute genius for figuring this out and building a religion based on the threat of Eternal torture

I wonder if it was Jesus, or the Catholic Church. *** It was Jesus, who preached and taught the jews about hell (Luke 16) after death the unbelievers souls go to Hades for a long time. Jesus told the apostles and his followers about heaven in John 14 in my Father's house there are MANY MANSIONS! I go back to heaven to prepare a place for you all, and you will be with me after death. The RCC just elaborates Jesus teaching purgatory/hell in the 4th century... They are correct the unbelievers will stay in purgatory/hades till the judgment day. However, the RCC made the mistake by teaching that people on earth can get their love ones out of that to heaven by given a large sum of money to the Church.

The thing that I wonder is how can you be so sure. There wasn't any fact checking 2000 years ago, and storytelling was the order of the day.

I wonder if it was Jesus, or the Catholic Church. Unclear, but the option of eternal torture in hell proved a useful rationale for temporary torture to extract a soul-saving confession during the Inquisition. I've heard a rabbi teach thus: socks must be clean before they are worn. The cleaning isn't pleasant, but necessary for their higher use. Hell is therefore a time of cleansing. The only "eternal" part is allegedly reserved for Satan and his angels. Ultimately, the Jews would see this lesson and try to live a life so that the period of afterlife "cleansing" would be short and tolerable. The Christians might interpret it the same way, though the figure of the Christ crucified shows them a. It's impossible to live the perfect life, and b. The sacrifice makes Christians who believe and trust in it clean without the need for the period of afterlife cleansing (hell). I find this compelling, because it meshes mercy and justice in a way that an eternal hell for souls created with a destiny to fail does not. *Edit - this only partially conflicts with Nathan's/RCC view. The period between death and the final judgement would be a period of rest for Christians (cleansing being unnecessary) and be temporary and just for all others. At the final judgement, God would then welcome all souls, while punishing Satan and angels. It's interesting to consider - our senses of justice and longing for the virtue of compassion lead us down many improbable and unprovable possibilities.

It's interesting to consider - our senses of justice and longing for the virtue of compassion lead us down many improbable and unprovable possibilities. *** Most people don't understanding the teachings of Jesus, the apostle Paul and John so they come up with all kinds of half-truth and incorrect teachings for centuries. It's very simple subject really once God gives us the revelation on this topic. God and Christ show us in The New Testament the gospels, the epistle o Paul, Peter and the book of Revelation. God has preserved the eternal lake of fire for Satan, fallen angels... The fallen mortal human beings who decided to serve Satan as their god and those without Christ Spirit in them... Will all end up in the Lake of fire, where the presence of God can't be found. God does NOT want the spirits of rebellious and disobedience to enter the NEW heaven and earth. That was one of the main reasons, the atheists and unbelievers souls stay in Hades AFTER death waiting there until they face God and Christ in the judgement day to be accountable and punished for the sins they have done while they lived on earth.

Should have been a Worker. They sure missed a ton of talent there.
I did offer, told to wait for the call. Still waiting, don't think the phone will ring, they probably lost my number.

You have a couple of undesirable qualities that would make the work difficult for you. You seem to genuinely want the best for everyone, regardless of their views. You're also honest...a big no-no!

I know of overseers who told certain workers NOT to post on TMB and not to have their own blog site. You would have been a good worker yourself! You love and care about people, their well being and souls.

The avatar Wally the avatar ,who or what worker would trust a man hiding in the dark with a knife up looking for a throat to cut ! When I professed u would have been number one on the list of people to avoid True men of God are always good with an edged weapon. Could be Simon Peter hacking off ears, or Moses and his men: “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor.’” The Levites did as Moses commanded, and that day about three thousand of the people died. Then Moses said, “You have been set apart to the Lord today, for you were against your own sons and brothers, and he has blessed you this day.” - Exodus 32:27-9
