The best diet I have found is raw oats with kefir made from whole cows milk for breakfast, glass of kefir whey for lunch, chicken or fish salad for night meal, washed down with a large glass of Guinness. I imagine it’s the Guinness that helps! 😉😋 I would like to think it is the Guinness, but maybe more credit should go to the kefir. Many Doctors are recommending that fermented foods should be included in your diet. I like kefir it is so easy to make. I do have a recipe for Guinness, but I cheat a bit and buy the real McCoy. It is heavenly.

It is heavenly. I’m not into ales or beers. But I do go for cottage cheeses and regular cheeses and buttermilk etc. I like sauerkraut but it’s too salty. I’ve got to where I can’t tolerate the taste of too much salt. Got some bacon to season our black eye peas for New Years. Then decided to have some bacon with eggs and wow! That bacon seemed awfully salty. When I buy canned veggies I try to buy the lower or no salt ones. But for safety sake like to buy the frozen most the time except green beans. I haven’t learned to like frozen green beans! 😝

ellie . I do not have the right to support the purpose-breeding; killing and consumption of other sentient beings so why do you feel you have that right? My health. In fact my doctor would like me to eat more meat. I saw livestock slaughtered as a child. Mostly I just helped with packaging cuts for the freezer. I probably wasn't trusted with a bone saw! It's nothing to be afraid of and a shame most kids these days are removed from the experience. There's a certain satisfaction eating eating home grown meat and you can know for certain the animal had a good life if that's the worry!

I can’t stand abuse to any animal. But we raised our own beef and chicken and had raised a few pigs but pigs are simply too aromatic for where we lived. I’d cry if any of our animals died unless it’d been raised for meat purposes. It was the mindset that we had for a particular chicken or beef cattle. We knew we couldn’t keep them all so we’d just not allow ourselves get emotionally attached but nobody better not mistreat them either!

New record temperature today in Australia. 50.7C,123F at Oodnadatta. Hot as Hell. Is it correct that many of these fires were caused by arsonists , and numerous arrested ? Alvin

Alvin, 50% were natural causes, mostly lightning. 50% deliberately lit, mainly teenagers.

Yes Speak they can. Under Section 203E of the Crimes Act, it is an offence to set a fire and be reckless as to the spread of the fire to vegetation on public land or land belonging to another. ... If a person actually dies as a result of the offender setting a fire, the offender may be charged with murder or manslaughter.
Because of strong public opinion, I think more arsonists will be charged. Of course that will not happen to many of them, because they are minors.

In my neck of the woods, parents are financially responsible for the actions of minors.

Thunderstorms often have lightening strikes along with the rain though. Sure hope it doesn't start more fires. That's what happened in Canada when we had such a bad year of fires. The rain that should have helped just triggered more fires.

I saw the golf ball sized hail. It was knocking poor birds out of the trees and busting car windows left and right. If it doesn’t rain it hails! I’m hoping though the wildfires are over. Poor dear folks lost so much and poor dear animals hurt and no habitat! It makes me cry just to think about it. I wish I was where I could help take care of the poor injured animals!
