Interesting news I came across a year or two ago was the subterfuge they use to get into some Asian countries to preach the gospel. They go as English teachers but the reality is they are there to preach the gospel. Why the deception. Why break the laws of other countries? wise as a serpent harmless as a dove...

I don't think being clever means breaking laws and telling lies.

Even if it means breaking the Law and lying ! Just make sure you get into those countries and brainwash the people ! How hypocritical ! I suppose it doesn't matter if children are abused as long as they "preach the gospel unto all men " !

Forcefully baptizing them?? From the workers preaching I gather that the only necessary way is by listening to the workers' preaching. Problem is, they also preach about how law abiding they are. The really funny thing is that they break the laws of other countries, while at the same time censuring workers for doing the same thing in this country.

the gospel is more important than any worldly law in my personal estimation. So after hearing it so often - what have you come away understanding is the gospel? Whats the "good news" you got from all that? Now I understand the workers teaching the gospel being more important than laws and lying for the sake of the truth being acceptable and necessary but surely that comes out of 2x2-ism and not from the bible that says real clear that - and and

I appreciate that opinion. It may explain the unchristlike attitude a lot of Christians in this country have regarding the law.

Wally, you're an interesting kind of Christian. Believing in the virgin birth, but clearly Hebrew theology.

ALAN BIRD,ARTHUR ROBINSON,COLIN STORER. Three respected men in their communities. But when they sit in the crowd at Conventions and all preacher missions, spouting no-name,do the people in those communities suspect them as liars? The neighbors would believe they attended a nameless church? Wouldn't they? This of course is an unbroken continuance of the Christian Assemblies of Australia(now Christian Conventions of Victoria) with three Bishop/Overseer chosen Trustees as written in Bill Carroll's letter in 1930.Long time to keep people in a deception. NO!! it was not just registered to allow transiant preachers to travel overseas.

Once again you have cherry picked a verse to suit you view ! What about "turning the other cheek" ? I can do that too @wally. Matthew 26:52-54 Then Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back into its place. For all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then should the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must be so?”

Romans 12:19
Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
Matthew 5:38-39
“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.
