Notice the atheist isn't using a lethal weapon! PS: Yes, your head is a lethal weapon, -when you hide stick in the sand!

Bob ~ Your attachment reminded me of something Erma Bombeck said in relation to our children, which most definitely applies to teenagers!
"Insanity is hereditary. You can catch it from your kids."

Wildlife seem to enjoy the camping grounds as much as the tourists? However, that was one neat video of a deer convention at a camping site! LOL

In Corpus Cristi State park I was sitting minding my own business, reading, and I looked up and there was a javelina not more than 4 feet from me. Never had seen one before and all it looked like to me was a little wild boar. We kind of eyed each other and that's all. I figured if it hadn't attacked me while I wasn't looking, I was probably safe. They did come back later after dusk with a whole bunch of babies. They were sure cute. At that same park there were twin fawns that were very brave and came down among the campers and poor mom was having a hissy fit up on the hill. They finally did return, but by that time they had about 4 other adult deer plus the mom up on the hill all worried about them. Lots of bear encounters in the Rocky's near Banff where we camp, mountain sheep and goats. I never watched the video so don't know if this compares to what was in it or not.

Snow ~ You surely have had your encounters with the wild life on your camping trips! You should check out this video of the baby fawns coming to lunch at the campers' table. It's surely is unusual. The campers put out plates to serve their guests and five of them came to the same table and ate with them. One even allowed the wife to pet her while she ate at the table. How cool is that! However, two others stayed in the distance, afraid to come to the dinner table.

However, I'm sure the bears would have been fine with it. I would have probably been lunch though!!

Snow ~ I have more memories of the mosquitos and bugs that used to frequent our picnic area on camping trips in the past. However, we did see a few deer and a number of squirrels and birds sitting by for the leftovers.

As the cannibal said to the tourist, "My family and I would be honored to have you for dinner. Why don't you come around this evening about sunset? We'll have a nice pot of vegetables simmering, waiting for your arrival. Without you, dinner just wouldn't be complete!"

I have the best excuse in the world for avoiding them now -- my doctor told me I had to.
