I wonder what my parents did to fight boredom before the internet.
I asked my 17 brothers and sisters and they didn’t know either.

When I applied for Australian citizenship the interviewer asked, “Do you have a criminal record?”.
Somewhat surprised, I replied, “No, is that still a requirement?”.

A lady accidentally locked herself out of her car just outside of Boston.
Luckily, a passing soldier notices her and assures her that he can help. First, he takes off his pants. He then rolls them into a ball and rubs them against the car handle.
Almost immediately, the car door unlocks.
“That was amazing! How did you do that?” The woman asks.
“Well, it’s simple”, the soldier replies, “these are my khakis.”

Christ is not a fable, myth, superstition or fantasy. I'll be ole Hypatia is wishing she had never said that and is looking for some water to this day even from the tip of a finger.

I agree with Hypatia, that Alexandrian chick had it all going on in regards to fables & myths. But Christ was neither, a superstition doesn't walk among you, perform miracles, and then literally leave the earth.
But she was right, children are taught about Santa Claus (myth), and I can tell you first hand that it was a painful tragedy last year for me to discover he was nothing but a fraud.

Hypatia was know for her work in mathematics among other things. Her philosophy was Neoplatonist and was thus seen as “pagan” at a time of bitter religious conflict between Christians, Jews, and pagans. She is one of the greatest females of all time. In 415 in the city of Alexandria Hypatia was murdered by a mob of Christian men. Agora is a great movie about a very sad time in history where religon tired to destroy science. short version Long version

I agree with this But Christ was neither, a superstition doesn't walk among you, perform miracles, and then literally leave the earth. How do you know the Jesus dude was real? All you have for evidence that he was real is the NT bible, which was written several generations after his death, no physical or 1st hand reports, and then there is the internal contradictions within the different gospels. There is no evidence of any of the "miracles", and no other writings about him during his life. Much of the NT was attributed to Paul who doesn't claim to have met Jesus. Extraordinary claims; like raising the dead, flying off into heaven or when zombies roamed the streets of Jerusalem, require extraordinary evidence . If they really happened, they would have been recorded during those days, not generations after. Jerusalem was near the Silk Road route and many people traveled in this area. If even some these bible miracles happened, you would expect the stories to show up in the writing of other cultures of that day, and they do not. Many other miracles have much more evidence than the NT miracles. Are you a believer? How about those Islamic miracles? According to the Quran, Muhammad flew to heaven on a winged horse from the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. It is recorded in the Quran and billions believe this miracle. Or how about when the dude Muhammad split the moon in half. Is this sufficient for you to believe? How about those RCC miracles? Are you a believer? 1600's St. Joseph of Cupertino levitated over crowds, — one time in front of Pope Urban VIII 1917 in Fatima, Portugal, Virgin Mary appeared, sun was blocked, thousands witness the event. 1968, people in Cairo Egypt saw the Virgin Mary walking on the roof of a Coptic church. Do you believe every miracle story you can read? If not, what makes you believe dude Jesus miracles more than dude Muhammad, or chick Mary miracles?

A thief stuck a pistol in a man’s ribs and said, “Give me your money.” The gentleman, shocked by the sudden attack, said “You cannot do this, I’m a United States congressman!” The thief said, “In that case, give me my money!”

Still making sexist remarks, I see!
