I said "I've heard where some friends will eat out and order a bottle of wine I always wondered how true this was " It is true. I go to meetings and I do this. When going out with 3 or 4 other people it is very much cheaper to simply order a bottle as opposed to everyone ordering a separate glass of wine. alcohol can be rather expensive.

Hard to believe any of the friends drink.
Guess times have changed.
Growing up, we didn't buy medicine with alcohol in it because of the evils of "not being sober".

Friends esp young ones in the USA drink. Last time I saw Dellas Waldo about a year or so before he became a worker, we went out for sushi with him and his brother Brad and they had so many drinks they had to crash at my apartment instead of drive home. They drank saki and some mixed drinks. At the time, I was also professing and got a little buzzed. When I was professing I always went out for drinks. I have never been an alcoholic and now I drink wine about 3X per week and beer about 1x per week. No big deal. However, growing up in the way I was taught it was a sin to drink, but I always did since I was about 15. In fact my first drink was given to me by a professing boy at a prom.

Over the years I have known a couple of the workers to drink an alcoholic beverage of one kind or another in the evening before bed to help relieve stress or help them sleep. I've never seen anything wrong with this. I was visiting my brother-in-law yesterday and somehow, the subject of drinking came up. I told him that up until a couple months ago I would have a small glass of red wine each night before bed because it would help me get some sleep. (I had to stop because it started bothering my stomach.) I could tell he was shocked. He kind of lit into me for it and I defended myself. He said that he didn't know of any of the friends that drank. I told him that I knew of several and in fact knew a couple of the workers that did. He nearly exploded! I thought he was going to kick me out of his house. He called me a liar and accused me of trying to spread poison about the Truth, Friends, and Workers. I've known this man for 33 years. I had no idea he was so uptight and ignorant. If I had to put up with all the crap that the workers put up with these days, I think I'd go beyond an occasional drink. I'd probably start a distillery in the trunk of my car. So my question is... Am I the only one that has noticed some of the friends having a drink? Am I the only one that has noticed some of the workers drinking? i guess none of you were at the MK Battery Christmas party... ;D trust me, the friends drink, i can name several, but i won't... besides, one quit since then...... i doubt if the other 3 quit, and i know i didn't.... but then i never had a problem, and have went months without... however, now that i am here in texas, i seem to be drinking more...
