Baltimore bridge whoopsie. What an awesome event to capture in a clip like this. All in a matter if seconds. Biden has said that federal support and money will rebuild it. I suspect that the ships insurers will have a major headache this morning. I have also been reading this morning, posts by the conspiracy nutters who are already saying silly sh1t such as it will cause the collapse of the Biden government or that it was planned.

Trump said. "All Americans need a Bible in their home, and I have many. It’s my favorite book,” Trump said in the video posted on Truth Social. “I’m proud to endorse and encourage you to get this Bible. We must make America pray again.” That is both a lie and totally against the constitution. Although he is too thick to understand that.

I suspect we may know exactly what you were saying. I get the feling that many Trump supporters, especially those that accuse other Republicans of being RINO's or yap on about the Biden crime family have painted themselves into a corner. And now realize it. I watch a lot of Trump speeches and also videos of people interviewing his supporters. Here is one. Those people downright scare me. He could stand on the whitehouse steps and commit murder and I would back him all the way. Why? Because he loves America so much! The only thing Trump loves is himself in power. They say that people will fall for the antichrist and wear his mark on their foreheads. Caps with Make America Great again meet that criteria lol. Almost makes me a believer out of me! Well no, but wth

More on bridge collapses.
How often does this happen? From 1960 to 2015, there were 35 major bridge collapses worldwide due to ship or barge collisions, with a total of 342 people killed, according to a 2018 report from the World Association for Waterborne Transport Infrastructure.
Eighteen of those collapses happened in the United States.
Among them were a 2002 incident in which a barge struck the Interstate 40 bridge over the Arkansas River at Webbers Falls, Oklahoma, sending vehicles plunging into the water. Fourteen people died and 11 were injured.
In 2001, a tugboat and barge struck the Queen Isabella Causeway in Port Isabel, Texas, causing a section of the bridge to tumble 24m into the bay below. Eight people were killed.
In 1993, barges being pushed by a towboat in dense fog hit and displaced the Big Bayou Canot railroad bridge near Mobile, Alabama. Minutes later, an Amtrak train with 220 people on board reached the displaced bridge and derailed, killing 47 people and injuring 103 others.

There has recently been a lot of investigation into the number of defective bridges in the USA, and it is really scary. As many as 10% are in need of upgrading. Makes one consider adding a parachute to the safety features. It's being reported today that one of the workmen who were doing repairs on the bridge actually fell into the water and was able to swim to a safe place. He's now suffering from severe trauma syndrome.

He's now suffering from severe trauma syndrome. That's the problem where I live. I worked for a tiny borough whose bridge needed repaired. It cost $200,000 to repair the bridge and $2,000 a year to have it inspected. People build bridges with no regard to the upkeep.

So it's interesting (and scary of course) to watch Americans fall for the Trump cult. We can only hope that the American constitution holds up better than German democracy did.

Two different responses to the senseless murder of a policeman shot while appraoching an illegally parked car in Queens... www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/trump-will-attend-wake-of-a-slain-new-york-police-officerBiden has pledged that the federal government will work more closely with police to combat gun violence and crack down on illegal guns. Trump has deplored crime in heavily Democratic cities, called for shoplifters to be shot immediately and wants to immunize police officers from lawsuits for potential misconduct.

What really concerns me is that it's not just the US that have fallen for the Trump cult. It's all across the world. Smaller numbers, but it's growing. Our Conservative party never used to embrace what Trump embraces, but now more and more of them are seeing it as a savvy political way to be. It doesn't help that most Canadians see our Prime Minister as corrupt. When I see our Premier Danielle Smith embracing Trump world and bringing Tucker Carlson to Calgary to address Albertans, it is very concerning.

John Eastman gets disbarred. There are consequences for attempting to pervert the election.
Ex-Trump lawyer should be disbarred for his role in 2020 election, says judge Judge recommends John Eastman, facing 11 disciplinary charges, lose his California law license over efforts to keep Trump in power
Associated Press Thu 28 Mar 2024 00.15 GMT Share A judge has recommended that conservative attorney John Eastman lose his California law license over his efforts to keep Donald Trump in power after the 2020 election.
Eastman, a former law school dean, faces 11 disciplinary charges in the state bar court stemming from his development of a legal strategy to have then vice president Mike Pence interfere with the certification of Joe Biden’s victory.
State bar court of California judge Yvette Roland’s recommendation, issued Wednesday, now goes to the California supreme court for a final ruling on whether he should be disbarred. Eastman can appeal the top court’s decision.

You should lead that with "some" Mr. Eel... One should note though July 4th is a celebration of something quite similar to what's been "alleged" that happened on the Jan 6th riot "insurrection" .... Here's a video well worth watching.

If you know, you know. Barry Diller, pioneering entertainment executive would have had a front row seat in NYC to many of Trump's under-handed business antics over the course of many decades.
"Why are you even talking about this? It's a scam, just like everything he's ever been involved in is some sort of con. Aiding survival of a con man is just beyond comprehension, but there it is." -- Barry Diller, on "Trump Media Tech" going public this past week
