Obviously. Where do you think this message board is located, Cherie? And I really don't think it should be. There are some countries that are not very friendly about people congregating for religious purposes. And some of the ones that are not hostile about it are not necessarily so stable that you can trust that a new, less friendly government is not going to take over between now and convention time. Obviously these governments could probably get the information anyway, but why advertise it?

I want to know if it is posted on an internet website somewhere--it usually is. The 2007 one is posted at: www.angelfire.com/punk/meetings/ I was asking where is the 2008 one posted on the internet?

I think you will find that the locations considered "sensitive countries" are not on that list. Still not sure about the stability of some of the ones that are. Or didn't you hear what happened when the government got a good excuse to invade the FLDS? They no longer need facts, and I don't believe they were acting for the good of the children, or they wouldn't have put over 400 children in an overloaded foster care system with a history of abuse itself. Good point GFG. Mods, please delete the USA from the list above. There's going to be an illegal roundup of workers and elders if you don't. Bushie is going Catholic and is going to start another Inquisition.

CK, Obviously, you wanted to know when the VA conventions where, per your post. Someone said the VA conventions were to be held soon-- I thought they were both held in August. (Downings & Pulaski)Otherwise, you would have not included the above statements in the second half of your initial post. And that's exactly what I supplied. Next time us TMB members will completely ignore any of your request, OK. Obviously! Lute1812

GFG, I was answering the second half of CK's post, which was there when I posted my information.
Otherwise, I would have ignored it, because I knew of no Internet website -- if the 2nd portion was nonexistent. Her second question implied some form of urgency, like she was going to miss the VA conventions, but I believe she's been an ex for a number of years, as is myself, and I supplied that information. Her edit was at 7:40 PM my post was at 7:46 PM.

I am just telling you for your own sake.

Cherie strikes me as an unusual individual, in that, while an "exe" she is also one of the most ardent followers of the Friends. I do not pretend to understand her compulsion for knowing what is going on within the Fellowship, or why she is so driven to collect information on the Friends and Workers.

She maintains a website, is writing a book on your church's founder, and is in daily communication with 2x2s and ex2x2s. I'm sure if it was any of your business, she would explain herself to you.

I would have to think that those reports you have cited GFG are paranoic nonsense even though I haven't dug through and tried to analyze them. Of course there are always fascist elements in every society, every government, and there is never any shortage of people who will pick out those elements and project them ridiculously out of proportion. Yes, my comments were supposed to be a form of humorous sarcasm. The comment about Bush going Catholic though was actually based on a news report yesterday. There is some insider talk that Bush is considering converting to Catholicism as did Tony Blair. Of course he would wait until his term was up until he did it, if he did. There is also indication that what he likes about Catholicism is the historical perspective, which I would interpret to mean that he likes that it is "from the beginning" or "from the shores of Galilee"........sounds familiar?........it's a powerful message. Ranman, if harmless bantering causes you to react violently and utter veiled threats of violence, you need to do some serious introspection my friend.

I would have to think that those reports you have cited GFG are paranoic nonsense even though I haven't dug through and tried to analyze them. Of course there are always fascist elements in every society, every government, and there is never any shortage of people who will pick out those elements and project them ridiculously out of proportion. Actually, the last one seems fairly credible. The first one, I don't really trust the source...but I don't trust the government, either...

I have my doubts. I don't doubt there are indeed Christian homeschooling wackos out there, because there are some amongst them who are extremist fundamentalists who seem to have similar thought patterns to the Islamic extremist fundamentalists. Even though some extreme fundamentalists will focus on OT savagery as being a useful tool in their own mission to save the world by killing it, we are likely only to ever see lone wackos act out, or at the most two or three. NT Christian teaching is far too steeped in principles of love and peace that only truly deranged people will act out in violence using Christian authority, and those people are rare.

I don't think the attack my Christians is likely !! I mean, I believe it is possible that the drills in the schools mentioned actually took place...
