Word has been received that Barbara Robinson Price, wife of Ellie Price, Jr., passed away early Sunday morning.
Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 on Tuesday evening and at 1:00 on Wednesday just before the funeral at 2:00 PM.
The visitation and funeral will be held at McEwen Funeral Home, 6300 Mallard Creek Rd., Charlotte, NC. The funeral home is near Ellie and Barbara's home - in the Derita community, just off of Sugar Creek Road.

Had Barbara been sick long? What was her age? Their daughter still lives in NC but where is their son now?

Barbara had been battling cancer for a few years; it was in remission but apparently returned. I'm not sure where her son lives.
ETA:
I'm not a good guess-timator of age, but I guess I'd say Barbara was in her 60s . . . late 60s, perhaps?? I could be totally off, though.

My Mom says that Barbara was going to be 72. Her son, Vernon, lives outside of Nashville and she thinks that her daughter Melanie, lives close in NC.

My sincerest sympathies to the Price family; I remember Melanie as a young girl more or less my age in NC (Cid convention grounds). I also remember her mom as a woman with a great sense of humor.  |
