Yeah. It was sweet. And cute. Pepper. Gotta love that name. Rambo? See that one yet? A tad gory, but whaddaya expect from what you know is gonna be full of shootin', stabbin', and blowin' people up?
I finally got to watch Doomsday and loved it. It's essentially Mad Max on megadoses of estrogen, thrown into the world of 28 Days Later in an Escape From New York scenario. Wear your wet suit, coz it has loads of gore. A few "naughty" words may be heard (frequently) if you are paying attention to the words.

I know - Pepper is an unusual name, isn't it? LOL Haven't seen Rambo yet, though I do plan to at some point. Just haven't got around to it yet. Recently watched Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (I was on a RDJ kick after two viewings of IronMan) and I found that film to be quite hilarious is a black comedy sort of way. You'd have to see it to get what I mean. It made me literally LOL several times. Ohhh . . . . I wasn't tempted to see Doomsday until I read your description of it. 28 Days Later was a good film (haven't seen the original Mad Max - though I did see Thunderdome - nor have I seen Escape from New York). The writer/director of Doomsday also did Dog Soldiers and The Descent. I'm not too interested in The Descent (read a movie spoiler on it), but Dog Soldiers was awesome fun (if you can call werewolves and blood/guts fun! LOL). There's one quote in that film that is on the list of some of my favorite movie lines. Sean Pertwee, one of the actors in Dog Soldiers also played in Doomsday - he played in Equilibrium as well . . . he was the original "Father".

I'm a big fan of RJD. I haven't seen Ironman yet. Tony Stark will be back next month in the Incredible Hulk. I grew up watching this and was always scared to go to bed at night for fear he'd show up at my window. Chaplin is probably my favorite RJD movie.

You were afraid of the Hulk? I always wanted to be the Hulk. It didn't turn out quite that way.
I still can't turn green.

I was afraid! Bill Bixby's transformation was scary. I can't believe I'm the only one to think that. He seemed like a big green monster when I was little. The only reason I watched it is because my older brother did. I think he secretly wanted to be like him to. He'd lift weights all the time.

I was a fan of Lou Ferigno before he became the Hulk, so while enjoying the show, I really just waited for the entrance of the big green Lou muscle show.

Michele , you aren't the only one who was frightened by Bill Bixby's onscreen transformation into The Hulk. It used to PETRIFY me, even though I knew he was a good guy! My Dad (who, coincidentally actually looked a lot like Bill Bixby at the time) would have to comfort me while the "change" occurred b/c he knew I was scared, but I still wanted to watch it. LOL Go figure. I loved Bill Bixby . . . I cried buckets when he died. My brother is really into bodybuilding as well - he actually got a chance to meet Lou last year. Brick: have you had a chance to see Dog Soldiers yet?

I have it downloaded, but haven't watched it yet. I just finished watching Chaos Theory. Sort of a romantic comedy. Not exactly predictable, though. Cute, and at times touching. No, I didn't cry, but my eyes did get a little "watery" a time or two.

I felt bad when Bill Bixby died to. He always seemed like a nice human being from things I had read about him.

LOL Not so scary any more . . . now it looks rather cool. Yes, it did seem like he was a great person . . . he had a sad life too. His poor child dying at a young age, and his ex-wife committing suicide a couple years later. Did you read about Bixby's connection with Tammy Bruce? That was pretty cool how he helped her out.

I thought the movie was amazing, but was disappointed once again as a comic book nerd when I realized they didn't entirely stick to the story presented in the Marvel Universe.
