I would really like to do this, but I'm having a lot of personal things going on just now and I just am not up to task. I believe our relationship with God is the most important one we'll have...and I'm sadly lacking in my end of the bargain.
Anyway, I would like to ask if there is anyone who would like to take this Bible Study over, so that I am not stopping anyone else from contributing. There didn't seem to be lots of "takers" anyway, but if anyone would like to participate, I don't want to hold anything up.
Admin, if anyone comes forward, please feel free to reassign this study to them...I hope someone does, as I would like to rejoin it at some point. I haven't been around as much recently with "real life" kicking in so heavily and I don't anticipate that to change in the immediate future, so do what you will with it.
Thanks, M.

Mich you have done a great job getting this going. We appreciate your enthusiasm. Until you are ready to take it on again, hopefully someone else will volunteer. Leave a message here, anyone if keen to help Mich out.
And know that you and your family are in our prayers!

I know you're asking for volunteers... and I'm far from being one that would be able to lead this type of study... but I wonder if Linda (Selah) would be willing? She's a wonderful leader in bible studies

Howdy Administrator person, If the main duty here is to start a new thread for a new chapter to study, I could probably do that. I have enjoyed contributing here, so that would get me to continue. BUT.... I agree that Linda would do a better job! Scott

Thank you, Scott! and aussiegal....it was just an idea I had...certainly not "mine" because I am any more capable (far less than most here, in fact, I should think!!!) than anyone else. Scott is right...really all I was doing was listing the new chapters to read and sharing my thoughts..but that didn't last long, unfortunately. I hope to be back around more after a bit...take care all and thanks again, Scott! M.

Mich you have actually done a great job, getting this going and making it worthwhile. Scott has offered to keep it going, until you are able to take the job back. It's yours as soon as you feel able again, Mich. In the meantime, I am now able to give Scott the limited moderator powers here (because I am confident in being able to do this while protecting all personal information).
Maybe Scott you can invite Lyle (carpenter) to participate! Meantime, let's enjoy studying the scriptures with Scott.

I hope to rejoin these discussions if there have been any...things here at home have only gotten worse, not better, unfortunately....but maybe this is what I need more than anything right now....talking with some caring people can't help either, can it? Hope you've all been well in my absence...have missed some of you lots. Take care, see you around...M.

I think it was in connection with being a motel receptionist. How are things worse? PM me if you would rather not share publicly.

I will PM you, Em, but not tonight....feeling exhausted, not sleeping well and so forth...it's midnight and I'm up at 7:30am for work, but likely won't be able to sleep for a while yet...just don't feel up to spilling it all right now. Hopefully we will work though things, but pretty rough right now. Anyway, yeah...I was a front-desk clerk at Comfort Inn when I was spending a lot of time on here before. Then I cashiered for about 3 years at Wal-Mart, part time (always wanting full time, but they have VERY few positions for full time anymore...) but now I was lucky enough to GET one of those full-time positions and have been training as an Optician in the Vision Center for the past ...well, nearly a year now...end of December. I AM an Optician...but there has been a LOT to learn...so I still feel I am learning as I go, but I LOVE that. I really enjoy learning new things and while I did like cashiering/talking to lots of people, it wasn't very challenging after the initial few things to learn!! This, I feel there's something I learn almost every day. When I feel I'm proficient enough with the basics...and it's getting there, but as I say...still more to learn!....then I will start studying as you can go take the board exam here in Milwaukee (for WI) and become a ABO certified Optician. Comes with more money and job security, too, as if there are 10 positions open and only one is certified, they will almost always hire the certified one as they know there's more training involved. There are 4 of us girls who work in the Vision Center and my manager is the only other ABO certified one....she has been for over 20 years...the other girls are wonderful ladies, but really have no interest in getting certified. I love the ongoing learning thing, so I'll do that when the time comes. Ok. Maybe more than you wanted/needed to know but just thought I would fill you in on what I'm doing nowdays...work wise anyway! Take care...have missed you, too, Em and some others too. M.

Just curious ~ are you studying in the book of Romans these days? I love that book from past Bible studies with Kay Arthur about 10 years ago at our church. It's a fascinating study and I wouldn't mind contributing myself to this one, if that's the subject matter, or whatever it may be now? I really miss those Bible studies from the past, so this would be a good change for me, too. It really helps you to keep focused on the things that matter, especially when the world is turning upside down for you at home. It was during those troubling times that I got the most help to cope on a daily basis, as it took my mind off my problems for a while and helped me meditate on something encouraging.
