passed away March 22, 2008. About a week prior she had a massive stroke and was paralyzed on both sides and was declared brain dead...so I suppose it was a blessing in the end. Her husband, Martin, is nearly 99! Just stopped in at the visitation on Tuesday evening and the funeral was Wednesday morning, March 26. June was a sweet, kind, VERY loving lady...she was 85 years old when she passed and was the wife of the elder in our area meeting--I hadn't gone there for years but had seen her at various gospel meetings over the years, at my parents home for get togethers and was in their home a while back to do some things for them (insisted on paying me for it!) when my relatives, who normally did it, were gone on vacation. I have great memories of her....when I would visit my Grandma as a youngster (Grandma never professed in the meetings...my mom didn't grow up in meetings...just my dad. My mom got involved she and my dad got married when mom was 16.) June would call me up at Grandmas a few streets over and see if I could come over and play games with her for a few hours. She just loved! kids...we would play Boggle, Yahtzee, Uno..whatever you can think of. She could beat almost anyone at Scrabble! There is a lovely poem in her remembrance card I will post later when I'm feeling better (ill at the moment) I will edit this last paragraph out at that time and add the poem...it's lovely. Just wanted to share in case anyone here knew her. Wonderful woman. M.
