He was 99 years old. His funeral will be Friday, March 7. I don't know any further details at this time. E

I just heard this yesterday from my father-in-law-- they were good friends with Thurman and Ann---- I believe Thurman was in the work before he married and that is how they knew him. Also I went to their home for Sunday morning meetings when I was in middle school and early HS. I hear Ann has dementia and is not in good shape either.

He lived a long life and was very very kind.

oh.. man, what a week this has been... first Stephanie, then Kirk, now Thurman...

Thurman and Ann's house was my first Sunday morning meeting after i professed. i went there for several years.... i have lots of stories about Thurman..

i knew him well... i was over there all the time. i'll miss you Thurman.

what about Ann? Is she still alive? oh, i see it now... she's still alive...did you know that Thurman was in the work before he married Ann? that was a long time ago....

i hate getting older. everyone dies all around me.. its so sad knowing that you can never see them again...

My my..This one brought tears to my eyes. Old Thurman, gone.Seems I can still hear the laughter as my Daddy would sing that song about Herman and Thurman and the lye soap...A piece of childhood, gone. Maybe he "hasn't heard a word in years"but his heart and light was always strong....

when I lived in Riverside about my middle school years(about 1979?) they turned 70-- my mom made them the cutest cake with two men on it that looked just like them-- it was sooo funny.
