Alice Lucille (Fye) Lingenfelter Alice Lucille (Fye) Lingenfelter, born in Reynoldsville, Pa., February 6, 1926, left this world in peace on Monday, November 19, 2007, at the age of 81. Alice was predeceased by her parents, Asa Fye and Jennie (Foltz) Fye, her daughter, Shirley Ann, and her five sisters and brothers. As a resident of Erie, Pa., most of her life, she was a homemaker, foster mother, general laborer, and a CR at Erie Insurance. Her last 9 yrs were spent living in VA. Beach, VA. Affectionately known as Gram-ma Alice or Gram-ma Link to many. Alice leaves behind her loving husband of 64 years, Larry Lingenfelter; daughters, Joyce Vanderslice husband Frederick, Virginia Brown, son, Larry R. wife Teresa, daughters, Janet Pool husband Stanley, Gretchen Hunt husband Ken; as well as 13 grandchildren and spouses, 17 great grandchildren. Alice is also survived by sisters Jane Grady, Ruth Dinger, Ruby Strouse, Esther Kessler, Rose Lingenfelter, Grace Coleman and brother Pete Fye, many more family members. A memorial service was conducted at 3:30 pm, Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at Western Branch Community Center, 4437 Portsmouth Boulevard, Chesapeake. Bobbie Sylvia and Jared Snyder officiated. Also, a memorial service was held on November 24, 2007, at 1:30pm, at Hickory Grange Hall, Sebula, PA. Peggy Jensen and Julie Clites officiated. Alice will be laid to rest with her daughter, Shirley Ann, in the Reynoldsville cemetery, Reynoldsville, Pa. at a later date.
