Anna Renfroe - 1929-2007
Anna Louise Kretzer Renfroe, 78, of Ashland, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007.
Anna was born Nov. 7, 1929, in Johnson County, to the late Charles and Mima Thomas Kretzer.
Anna worked as a saleswoman at Star’s department store for many years and was a Christian.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Delbert Kretzer, Johnny Kretzer, Jimmy Kretzer and Earl Kretzer; and three sisters, Vivian Kretzer, Violet Kretzer and Faye Sparks.
Anna is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, George William “Bill” Renfroe; two sons and a daughter-in-law, William Mark Renfroe of Prince George, Va., and Timothy Lee Renfroe and his wife, Sharon, of Ashland; four grandchildren, Robby Renfroe, Matthew Renfroe, Alexander Renfroe and Haleigh Ann Renfroe; a sister, Ellen Mc-Knight of Ashland; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted by Shane Brown, Joel Crawford, Eunice Lagwig and Esther Duncan at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today and an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Anna's memory may be made to the Community Hospice Care Center, 2330 Pollard Road, Ashland, KY 41101 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 3703 Taylorsville Road, Suite 102, Louisville, KY 40220-1330.
