Dated Dec. 14
For those of you who know Jerry and Elaine Frost, I heard this news this morning. On their way home from mtg. last night they had a car accident. They were hit by a drunk driver. Jerry died and Elaine is in serious condition with two broken legs and other injuries. The woman who struck them crossed the center line and hit them head on. Dena and Tonya are with Elaine. It looks like the plan is to go ahead with the burial for Jerry and have a memorial service later when Elaine will be able to go. She had surgery this morning on one leg.

"The driver that crossed the center line was so out of control, the sheriff says, that it was the oncoming passenger that was killed.Sheriff Scott Fewins says, "there wasn't even time for the other to use some evasive action. this accident happened well left of the center line." The sheriff says investigators found a bottle of liquor in the Interlochen woman's vehicle..and says she admitted to deputies that she was drinking while driving." Tragic

+ After reading this post in the morning it made me sad.A family losing a loved. As I was going to work last night I notice a van crossing the yellow line and when the driver went through a red light I called 911 and reported this driver. I followed as long as I could giving updates to dispatch. I gave the make and color of the van and tag number. I was in a zone knowing someone else could get killed. I hope and pray they removed this driver from the road at least they know who and where they live. So sorry to the family but because of this it made me late for work but I would not let another die at the hands of a impaired driver.

Yes nitro it was very sad and tragic...they were just coming from Wed bible study...They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this fall. The woman who hit them has a prior record of drinking and driving. It dates back to June of 2005. In that case the sheriff says the woman rear ended another driver then left the scene. There were no injuries in that crash but the sheriff says the deputies found the woman at her home where she was arrested..The sheriff says she was convicted on an OUIL-related charge. KUDOS to you nitro for what you did! You may have saved someone's life ! gem
