Willis Young died November 21, 2007. He turned 73 on October 20th. He died rather suddenly after being in the hospital for 3 days. He didn't want a funeral service and his body was cremated. His ashes will be spread somewhere in a body of water (Ocean, Lake).
He lived in Ottawa, Ontario Canada
He was an ex-worker and ex-2x2.
He was the author of the book: In Vain Do They Worship, 2000
Copies are in the TTT Lending Library. His book has this on the back cover:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Willis Young went to his first Convention at eight months old and to his last Convention almost a half century later.
In this book he takes us on a fascinating tour of the secretive group known by various names – The Truth, The Two-By-Twos, The Dippers, The Black Stocking Gang – to name but a few. We are treated to behind the scenes looks at Conventions, Special Meetings rounds and the intrigue, tension and corruption that was always present, but well hidden from the “Saints” by the Workers.
Willis takes an in depth look at the beliefs, legalisms and compares every aspect of The Truth with the Bible. The results are devastating.
This is a wonderful book, written in Willis’ typical chatty and humorous style. It will be informative for those “still in” and will be a big help to those who have left, especially those who have feelings of uncertainty or guilt about having left. It is must reading for everyone who has ever had, or still has anything to do with this group."
