Dear Ones:
Jean was admitted to the hospital yesterday afternoon. Lois B---- took her there from the Nursing Home, as she was in such terrible pain with her legs--she has had cellulitis for so long in them and they were just a mass of sores and they pained her so much. They had discovered that she had staff infection in them also. I had gone over in the a.m. to take her some pictures that were taken in her room on Sunday. I knew she wasn't good, and I felt so helpless to help her.
Went to see her in the hospital about 6:00 p.m. she was in such pain, and outside her room was plastic gowns, gloves, masks, and etc. The nurses were trying to get her settled in and set up for IV's, so I only stood in the door and said a few words to her. I knew she was beside herself with pain. It was heart breaking to know that there was nothing I could do.
This morning right after breakfast as I came away from the dining area--I saw Lois coming down the hallway. She came into my room, and broke the news to me--we cried together, and then we both felt in our hearts that it was the kindness of God that took her out of that painful, infectious body, and took her home. We both expressed our feelings of that!
She will be buried on the Mt. Sterling Conv. Grounds--when I get further details I will let you know. I think her body is to be taken to the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling.
My love to all, Ruth -----

The visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2007 at Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling. The funeral will be at Mt. Sterling Convention Grounds on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 10:30 a.m.
There will be a potluck after the funeral and burial. Jean will be the first sister worker to be buried on the convention grounds.
I will surely miss her not being here, but she was in so much pain, that when I heard the news--all I could do was bow my head and thank God for taking her home!
