Oh, yes, and you will need to humble yourself, forget about your credentials and expertise and take the humble place. You will need to be sincere in wanting this humble place. Keep wanting it. It is the only Way In.

On the list "welcome back" posted, I find only these two pertinent:
And I need to make clear that "your will" means your privilege to run your own life, not the document which pertains to the distribution of earthly possessions! Those who come back must clearly know that from this point on, Christ is the Lord of their life. (No, not the workers - people who believe that will only become disgruntled and drift away.)

BUT..............they will have to do as the workers say in all points, (no matter what Jesus ever said or refrained from saying.) ie. dress, hair, clothes, sports, hobbies, TV, theatre, meetings, missing meetings, othersise they will be accused of not having the "spirit.

You could ask Cherie Kroppe. Visit her site on VOT Veterans of Truth. CORRECTION: The above referenced website (VOT) is not my site. My website is: Telling The Truth located at: www.tellingthetruth.info/home/

Much indepth research into Fundamentalist Religions and Sects has been undertaken and there are several publications. You can access www.apologetics.org for details. Some interesting comparisons have been made by a USA Professor who was raised in a "professing" family. There are books available written by members who have moved on. This link goes to a CS Lewis site...who is the USA professor you mention? (Dr. Janean is a Canadian professor...)

Do you mean leaving to spread the Gospel overseas? We heard that some are going to Czechoslavakia, is that true?

Just its political condition may not be the same, believe me, and those who live there, who have never moved, it exists!! and so do they!!!!

I don't understand the point you're trying to make. I am quite convinced of the existence of Czech Republic, and of Slovakia.

Think this means there are folk there who refuse to recognise the change of natioanlity/boundaries etc. I know plenty of people who do not like change to the extent of ignoring it happening round them.

The question was intended to ask "are workers leaving the work in the UK, or are they leaving the UK to spread the gospel overseas, not to nit pick about name changes in a country!!
If I lived in New York all my life I would still consider myself from New York even if politicians called it China Town!
and.......... what workers have left recently in the UK? Does anyone know?

One left England to go overseas to Shetland. I suppose that is to compensate for the Scottish workers who go abroad to England (Cumbria and Northumberland) to preach?

I thought that Cumbria and Northumberland were part of Scotland. As a foreigner here its easy to get the boundaries muddled.

You may recall that the other day Geoff was reading in "Romans." This explains his above posts. In Roman Times England stopped at Newcastle and Carlisle (i.e. Hadrian's Wall). Everything north of that was called Scotland because the Romans thought "it Scot nothing going for it," hence it became known as Scotland !

'Oh my goodness! I am also well aware of what things are like in Fermanagh and I would have to say that if things in this county are lenient and standards are poor compared to other parts of the UK, then I would not like to live in these parts!!! Fermanagh is still very much hard line when it comes to 'the rules' - how do you see that standards are slipping here? Can you give an example?'
This is not a trait peculiar to the 2x2s. I find that most evangelical churches in Fermanagh and West of the Bann are more legalistic than similar churches elsewhere in Northern Ireland. It is not always a negative thing

Parties, heavy drinking, very imodest clothing.. there are few young people who profess and remain in that area. You are right on the surface they are strict - often kept in line, because they are kept an eye on by each other. BUT - behind closed doors its a different matter!! I'm maybe brushing everyone with the same brush here, so thats unfair. However there does seem to be some in that area who are taken up alot with money, cars... talk about spiritual things.. and you might get a few blank looks!!!

Ex Teenager - How do you account for the behaviour you describe? Does it emanate from the lack of teaching on the seriousness of sin? Never mind the workers or fellow man, is there no fear of God that should regulate lifestyles?
