Ahhh....the recipe board! I love it!
I just had taco salad that was lettuce, tomato, avocado. Then, they fried hamburger and drained it, added kidney beans and tossed all of it with grated cheese and french dressing.
I make mine...a big salad with all kinds of stuff in it, hamburger, drained and pinto beans. I serve home made salsa, sour cream and guacamole with mine. More southwestern style.
Good luck!

For me, leave off the sour cream and add LOTS of hot sauce! inatent

favorite recipe from growing up. I don't remember the exacts, but here's the general idea...
Sauce: 8 oz?? Thousand Island dressing rest of package taco seasoning mix couple tablespoons taco sauce (ie Salsa Brava)
Fry up some hamburger meat, and add about a tablespoon of taco seasoning mix from a package. Add fried/seasoned meat to... ...The salad part: lettuce, shredded cheese, shredded doritos, or similar ships onion, chopped (the rest of the ingredients I deem optional due to my personal taste) olives, sliced tomatoes, chopped etc.
Mix everything together, and enjoy!
Feel free to change whatever you want to your taste. It doesn't work very well as left-overs due to the chips getting soggy and lettuce wilting, so eat it all!
