Ex-Enron CEO Kenneth Lay Pleads Innocent HOUSTON (AP) - Former Enron Corp. CEO Kenneth Lay pleaded innocent Thursday to federal charges that he was involved in a wide-ranging scheme to deceive the public, company shareholders and government regulators about the energy company that he founded and led to industry prominence before its collapse. "Not guilty, your honor," Lay, speaking loudly and clearly, told U.S. Magistrate Judge Mary Milloy at a court hearing hours after he surrendered to the FBI and was hustled to the federal courthouse. ---------------- If this man is guilty, throw the book at him. But I hope he isn't a scapegoat for other people who are more responsible than himself.

It will be very interesting to see how Kenny Boy will defend himself. It's no secret that there were close ties between Lay and Bush during his last term in Texas. I am very curious what will come up about the involvement of both Bush and Cheney in this case...

I mean if you know someone like this kenny guy... i mean that must mean your guilty of something. Bush is the devil no matter what anyone says...

I am very curious what will come up about the involvement of both Bush and Cheney in this case... I doubt anything will come of the ties between these men... Right now we can only speculate and speculation leads us nowhere… I wonder if people are questioning if Cheney is a prescription drug addict because someone who he had close ties to (one of his doctrines) was additive to prescription drugs. I believe the hatred of Bush/Cheney and the bias in the media against them might lead people to hypothesize more then the truth in this area…

I doubt anything will come of the ties between these men... You probably didn't read the news lately... From the Telegraph, 10/07/2004: ….. Mr Bush walked away from a media briefing, refusing to answer questions about Mr Lay, a close adviser dubbed "Kenny Boy" by the president. White House press secretary Scott McClellan said it has been "quite some time" since the pair talked, describing Mr Lay as "a supporter in the past". Mr Bush started distancing himself from Mr Lay in November 2001 when the company crumbled into bankruptcy in a fraud that still angers Americans. Scores of letters exchanged by the two men when Mr Bush was governor of Texas suggest a far closer relationship than the White House claims, however. …… Read the complete article on: www.telegraph.co.uk/money/main.jhtml?xml=/money/2004/07/10/cnenron10.xml&menuId=242&sSheet=/money/2004/07/10/ixcity.htmlIt's quite interesting and I won't consider this as speculation. Well, I am not going to convince you, as the "media are biased" so we can't believe what they tell us. Unless they support your point of view off course..
