Don't you love those rich liberals who bash rich people. Ms. Heinz Kerry is a rich bich. Maybe she could help the poor people in Philly or Pittsburg!

Don't you love those rich liberals who bash rich people. Ms. Heinz Kerry is a rich bich. Maybe she could help the poor people in Philly or Pittsburg! She already does. You might want to engage your brain before you start your fingers typing. Ms Heinz Kerry is the chair of The Howard Heinz Endowment and the Heinz Family Philanthropies (collectively, the Heinz foundations), disbursing money to various social and environmental causes. She laudably assists the community of Pittsburgh, where the Heinz family has had so many financial and family connections. In recognition of her philanthropy and activism, Ms. Heinz Kerry has received ten honorary doctorate degrees. She was awarded the Albert Schweitzer Gold Medal for Humanitarianism in 2003. Now how does this compare to the philanthropy or achievements of other presidential candidate's wives?

Bashing somebody's values, voting record, different policy stands, etc. makes plenty of sense in politics. Just because both the basher and bashee are rich doesn't mean there isn't plenty of area for disagreement and criticism against each other.

There was a report on the radio a month or so ago comparing President Bush and Mr Kerry's personal giving according to their tax returns.
Turns out that Bush out gave Kerry by a significant amount over the past many years even though Bush's income was only a fraction of Kerrys. No suprise there. Liberals are generally good at giving others money away, but not their own.
