I have a chance to spend 2-3 days in Seattle with my wife and two teen age daughters. How would you spend it and what would you recomend we see or do? Girls are 15 and 17. I know this is a change of pace here but I would appreciate your help. I posted this here, why--the short answer is, because, LOL the longer answer is that there seems to be a number here from the Washington area.
Thanks for any and all help.

Well, I'm an Australian who has never been to Seattle, but from the songs I've heard (...in Seatt----le) it sounds like a cool place to spend a few days. How about a visit to the tower (revolving restaurant?), or a visit to the fish markets? I certainly would not recommend wasting even two seconds of your life looking up a gospel meeting or convention (convention season at the moment?). With teenage daughters, I would keep them well away from any workers too. If you are there over a weekend, you might check out a neighbourhood church. See ya

A few Seattle attractions...
Pike Place Market is usually a very popular place.
Seattle center is pretty cool. It has a small amusement park, the Pacific Science Center with a few Imax theaters, a lazer show a few other cool things.
Six Flags just bought an amusement park south of Seattle called Enchanted Village. There is also a water park called Wild Waves in the same park.
There is an aquarium down on the Pier, along with a few other interesting shops.
You can take an Argosy cruise out into Elliot Bay - they have many times and lengths of cruise from 1-3 hours along with a dinner cruise.
There is a decent zoo.
If you like mountains - Mt. Rainer is close.
There are a few malls - Northgate in North Seattle, Allderwood Mall in Lynwood (one of the better ones.) There is the Bellvue Mall (high end mall) in Bellvue. The Super Mall (not really that super) in Auburn (south of Seattle). There are a few more but I forget all the names.
If the Mariners are at home you can catch a baseball game.
Bite of Seattle is going to take place 7/18 - 7/20 at the Seattle Center with many local chefs presenting yummy things.
The monorail runs from Westgate Mall (downtown) to the Seattle Center - it feels like you are flying through the trees. 90 second ride for 1.50 each way.
The buses running in the downtown area are free, there is also an underground bus (free in the downtown area also.)
You can take an underground tour of Seattle.
Do a search on yahoo for Seattle attractions and you'll find the links to many of these places.
Have fun! I hope you get some of the sun we've been having!!!!

For some one to say sorry for this type of action and then go and do it again goes to show the his appoligee ment nothing at all. Out of the fruits of your mouth shall you be known.

Everyone has an opinion. Truthbearer voiced theirs. Cheers chill out, it's not a personal attack but their views. We all know how to take everything here with a grain of salt and can make up our own minds.
Our vacationing family (free spirit) is sure to have a wonderful time. Enjoy your trip and come back to the board and tell us what you did!! I hope you have wonderful sunny weather. I have heard of the Pike Street Market also - do go there!!
Have a safe and relaxing vacation!

[Truthbearer posted this] I would keep them well away from any workers too. [Cheers] If this is not an attack then i'm an Australian.
[Bryan] Now cheers, how old are your teenage girls?
[Cheers] Now Bryan, why are you interested?
My Children are left alone with no body, no matter who, i do recognise the danger of human nature, but on the same token i do not judge all as being the same, as Truethbearer did.
I will do my posts like this from now on because i have trouble reading the quotes as you do them. My eyes are not the best.
